It would be rather useful if people could post any further feedback on the proposed update they may have following Derby last weekend.
Any comments on the proposed changes to Bow range, etc. would be especially appreciated.
We will be getting a final draft of the update together fairly soon so any input would be good.
In reality we are getting pretty close to the point where the chance to influence what goes in has been and gone. Not quite there yet, but close.

Re: Feedback from Derby
Nice to see no negative comments then
Would be useful to have some feedback on the points system used.

Re: Feedback from Derby
Nik,
The only problem I had and have is the way better armour is now treated. It was claimed that the change would mean a 0.5 POA difference. I have never found this. When ever my better armoured troops were in melee my opponents rarely had to reroll a dice but if they did it made no difference they always hit. So it was pointless for be to pay the extra for better armoured troops.

Re: Feedback from Derby
I have had no issues with the new bow range.
I still think cavalry are too cheap.
I do have sympathy with Bobs point, for example warrior foot swordsmen are now hitting armoured mounted swordsmen on 4s in melee, the reroll I found rarely caused an issue for the foot.
Other than that all good.

Re: Feedback from Derby
That could be partly an artefact caused by the smaller unit sizes for Cavalry. Getting the all-important 2HPB/3HPB on a 4xpack is not too tricky if you hit on 4s, but equally shifting from 5s to 4s to hit is a big deal anyway.spedders wrote:I have had no issues with the new bow range.

Re: Feedback from Derby
Here are some remarks about derby.
I have a bp with the fact that the artillery touches the cavalry of 5 and that at the same time bgs of 4 average are destroyed to 3 units.
The decline in the price of units makes it very difficult to finish a game given the increase in the number of bg.
I would have preferred the better love counts as +1 in the moral test.
What about bugdets in the booklets that will now be fake ???
