Poll: How much video memory does your graphics card have?

Hey All!

Video card is going to be very important for Panzer Corps 2, much more so than for Panzer Corps 1. So, we need to understand what kind of video adaptors our players use. For this poll, we have decided to check on available video memory (VRAM), because this is a good indirect measure of age and level of the card. If your number does not match any of the options provided, just pick the nearest lower value from the list. Thanks!

Apparently I do not seem to fit under any of the categories displayed!. What I do have as far as "Dedicated Video Memory" is 1536 MB...for the 'GeForce GTX 560M', I am also currently using Windows7.

I mentioned before that I hope the Game will work with my Cpu Internal Graphics Solution.
The VRAM is listed with 256 MB by the System.
Not sure if some external RAM will be used as well.

So I'm the one that clicked less than 1024 MB on the Poll

We will see I'm quite optimistic that PC2 will still work fine with my machine

I notice you dont have an option of 'no dedicated graphics card/graphics memory' or 0MB. Is this a way of avoiding mentioning lots of people will have to buy a new computer for panzer corps 2 or does that large part of the user base not come into it? (particularly people who use a laptop).

Graphics built into processor is getting more and more powerful these days, and even PCs using this kind of graphics adapter usually show video memory different from zero, for example:



But even if it's zero, the first option in the poll (less than 1024MB) covers this case.

It is too early to say what system requirements the game will get. We have several PCs with built in graphics handy, both desktops and notebooks, and we will certainly test the game there and try to determine settings and quality of textures which will allow the game to run on such machines. Especially if this poll shows that such machines are a big segment of our player base.

Yes of course. But the audience of Steam at large may not be the same as the audience of Panzer Corps players.

Figured as much. Then again, it's the biggest, most up to date source of information which also shows trends, so you might have a use for it if the small sample of responses on here shows similarities.

Modern NVIDIA cards have a memory of a multiple of 3 GB. I voted for 2048.

I've got an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 with 15.88 GB RAM on my main PC downstairs in my office. I can also stream PzC2 via Steam to my Surface 3 Pro (which can't run PzC2 directly due to the built-in Intel graphics chip which uses shared memory) over wi-fi when sitting out on the deck or elsewhere in the house. It runs without a hitch and looks almost as good except for the much smaller screen. Regards.

The instructions on computerhope.com show a paltry 128MB for Intel UHD Graphics 630. However, Nvidia Control Panel show my GeForce GTX 1650 has 4GB dedicated and 8 GB shared. I voted the 4GB, but it makes me wonder if somehow my laptop is not set up correctly. I have no problems playing games on ultra high graphics settings, so I doubt it is really running on the UHD 630.

Edit: Yes, the laptop shipped with the GTX1650 GPU but had the integrated graphics only enabled. Fixed now, and tomorrow will see if that provides any performance improvements.

Hate to be awkward ( yeah right ) but mines got 3Gb. Having said that, if I try to use over 2 it throttles back. It was a known issue at the time I bought it.

Close, that's the card that I have, the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti. My system shows 12288 MB dedicated VRAM.

Shared memory is total memory including RAM the OS (drivers) can allocate to the GPU. 4GB VRAM + 4GB RAM = 8GB.

VRAM depends on bus width/chip density.

Mine is 3GB, sadly not enough these days (HD7970).....
