You are right in terms of lore (an obvious tactic) but I think wrong in terms of gameplay.

I think the game is more interesting if it rewards the player for outmaneuvering its opponent and achieving a better tactical position. Just rolling to offer your best side to the opponent would completely negate this, thus making the game less interesting.

Hi there,

first of all, thanx for this game, I really enjoy it a lot and my wife is starting to complain ;-)

After over 90 missions I have two things I would like to see improved.

1: Group Vipers. If I send out several squadrons of vipers and want to send all of them to attack the same target, I have to click and "target" each squadron individually, which takes so much time if you have 7 or more squads out. Being able to group the squads you could select a group and select a target once.

2: If a ship is fired upon by cylons missiles or topedos, I often can't tell which ship is being targeted (if they are closely packed). I can make an educated guess but I haven't found a way to look it up. It would be extremely helpful knowing which ship is being targeted so I can activate the flak or get my vipers for defense.


More story missions with the Jupiter Class would be nice.

Agreed on #1. Also, as part of the first turn, why not a "Launch all Squadrons for all ships" button, rather then have to select 5 different hangar-equipped ships. There seems to be no penalty for having your squadrons out there all the time.

Add on to #2, if you're going up against 5+ squadrons of Raiders, most times it will list the class of ship they're attacking, not the ship name. I typically have 3 Adamants in my fleet, and I can't tell which one they are targeting until they are in firing range and armor starts failing.

Great to see some of the feedback here has made it into the update ! credit where credit is due, black labs and slitherine are listening!.
I love the latest update its just awesome ! I cannot wait for more.

With that said I would love to see a windows store or play anywhere version for xbox. I know it is not just down to the titles microsoft own because bethesda managed it with fallout shelter. I really feel this game will benifit from it especially since there are a lack of 3rd party games on there it would highlight the game much more to the player base also It would be handy for people who play the xbox version and to have the saves on the go including the achievement system.

Also I have noticed that the fourms here have world war 2 stuff on for what level people are.. how about some battlestars for the deadlock fan base ? :lol:

So I have backed myself into a corner here... I cannot emergency jump my fleet away from this battle. The fleet only consists of a Jupiter, and atlas and the space station. The cylon forces have 3 basestars (with nukes) 1 nemesis, 3 arachine, 2 revenant and 2 Cerberus. That does not include the additional ships that can jump in. I do not know why but it will not let me postpone this engagement as I wanted to put that Janus class in with the fleet. This has become a no win scenario for me and because I saved right before this battle I cannot revert I will have to restart the whole campaign again and I just nearly finished :cry: Is it possible to have an update that lets us postpone a couple of times, As you can see all them ships just need a fleet around ragnar.

Postpone is only available for story missions, so from that screenshot, the second battle will have the Postpone option when it's at the top of the queue, but not the first. Postponing a battle when you are on the receiving end of a surprise attack doesn't sound right to me :)

Whilst an emergency jump is probably not possible due to your current tylium, I think it should still be an option on screen, so that's possibly a bug. Can you send us your save file, I'd like to take a look?

Do you only have the one save file?

Now that I have thought about it you are right.. it does not make sense to have postpone on an incoming attack.
I can always restart the story but if I can prevent it I will. The last mission was amazing the sound, game play and playback was so much like the show.

I have two saves but both of them are at the same point so I'm stuck :/ its the kobayashi maru of the bsg universe :lol:

Ive been playing through the game and I am really enjoying the updates. Im finding it challenging on normal difficulty which is good and battles are quite varied.

I would like more options when it comes to the strategy as a whole. I end turn and the cylons pop up here and there attacking a colony and I move my fleets to attack them but I would like the option to attack them at a base or shipyards that has been discovered through intel/recon?

Then if I destroy that base it affects how many cylons ships and what type show up the following turn?

I got the game as a christmas gift, besides the DVDs of the TV show´s 4th season. I really enjoy the game so far, though i only played skirmish and Coop for getting a basic understanding of the gameplay. As i know from several youtube videos, the campaign will offer some type of (fleet-)commander skilltree and stuff. I expect it to be some rpg-aspect within the game, which i am looking forward to.

My question/suggestion would be: can we have something like that for the skirmish/Coop/PvP part of the game aswell? I recognized that i earn XP with any multiplayer battle, but i don´t see any advantages of that, besides promotions in rank. I would love to see some RPG aspect on the MP part of the game, maybe something like that of the game "battlefleet Gothic". I think, specialising MP fleets with specific ship upgrades or commander perks would be great and add some (more) variety to the game. Player would get personally attached to their ships, while they level up und get better, transforming from some regular, exchangable ships to hero-ships with a true story to tell. Of course, if a ship gets destroyed during a battle, this should not result in a loss for the player, but more likely result in a temporal debuff for the ship or a specific ammount of time to wait (like a number of games played) until the ship is repaired/restored.

What do you think?

Doesn't have to be much, just something each week to let us know what you guys are working on next for the game.
