Post by AlbertoC » Thu Oct 18, 2018 1:24 pm

We're about to release the new expansion, Anabasis, and the update accompanying it: the Infinity Update.

It is a massive update, and you can read the changelog down below. Have fun battling with the new Environmental Hazards. You can download it from the Members' Area.

Release notes 1.1.51

- Added a ring to ships when they were about to use an AoE munition (e.g. EMP Generator) to show the range
- Sweepers now have a visualisation when chaff pods are launched

To avoid all the problems of the last update, since we once again need to uninstall prior to this update, in what order do you need to run the 1.1.51 installer, Reinforcements, and Broken Alliance?

I assume Anabasis will be installed last.

I think it should be 1.1.51 installer, then the expansions. I will confirm it with the producer.

Hey Rebel Yell,

there is an update patch that is required first before you can download/access Anabasis. This patch is 1.1.51 for the base game. Once installed, you just need to install Anabasis, each DLC is individual and doesn't need to be installed in a specific order.

Hope this helps?

Adam

I'm aware of 1.1.51 which is why I asked about it.

Last time, if you did the expansions in the wrong order, ships and features were missing when you started the game. So I just wanted to be sure before I spend any time on it.

I wish you could just run the updater with the game instead of having to uninstall and reinstall with these patches.

I would agree. Having to uninstall and reinstall a game and all of its dlc just to install a patch seems to be unusual, and not in a good way, to put it mildly.

Did an official response get posted on how to install the update & Anabasis? I am refusing to purchase Anabasis until Support/Engineering posts an officially sanctioned, TESTED, validated install order. I am not willing to go through dozens of hours of personal trial & error like last time. Not willing to purchase with a "it should work" set of steps, as that approach didnt work last time.

I uninstalled, did 1.51, then Reinforcements, then Broken Alliance, then Anabasis and it worked fine.

The key is to never put in more than one code at a time. The way it comes up, it looks like you could put in the codes for multiple and that leads to a bad place.
