Light troop capability

After reading some books explaining the tactics and abilities of the day, I have learned Light Troops were used for recon and skirmisher-type roles very effectively, and had the ability to avoid a superior enemy force by being able to "pass thru" friendly line units, just as artillery units can do.
Might this be considered in a future patch?

Light foot already can pass through friendly units.
