Field of Glory II Editor - Suggestions & Requests
Re: Field of Glory II Editor - Suggestions & Requests
I'd like to see, as an option, bases rather than vertical banners. would make it look more like table top and less japanese. or maybe it's just me.

We did consider this, but there is already a lot going on on the bases. It would just be confusing to try to also convey all the information that is conveyed on the banners on the bases. (Which includes cohesion state, losses, moved status and whether the unit contains a general).fogman wrote:I'd like to see, as an option, bases rather than vertical banners. would make it look more like table top and less japanese. or maybe it's just me.

How about a toggle to turn them on and off?

Yes. For if you just want to have a nice view of the field. Then you turn them on again.

There is no battle replay. It's badly missing, especially after you've managed to finish a MP battle ! I'm so frustrated !

Hello Scott. FoGII, great game really, congrts to the whole team!
I wonder if sometime Byzantine games would think of a Napoleonic game like this Ancient game? a tactical napoleonic game like FOGII would be great!?
regards
Lancier

If so, it won't be soon. We have a couple of year's work to extend FOG2 to cover the whole Ancient/Medieval period.Lancier wrote:Hello Scott. FoGII, great game really, congrts to the whole team!

As soon as this game gets LIVE TCP/IP mode, we obviously need to set up leagues and Tournaments thx to your skill and experience running them. I'm looking forward to it !!!Lancier wrote:Hi JC, good to see you here as well. Visit The Wargaming Club sometime mate, we added FoGII to the club game list as well ^^

I also share than bases instead of banners may be sometimes useful
Letters to tell you D / F etc is also practical to distinguish esasely what's going on
but again AS AN OPTION
as written in the past, to have static units would be nice also AS AN OPTION
In civilization VI you can toggle off animations

If you have roads that cross the map diagonally at the moment it seems you have to make a squiggly road. But, at Bosworth, I need to portray a Roman road traversing the map from right of centre of one baseline to the left hand corner of the other. Perhaps the ability to make roads run on the diagonal would be good?

I have purchased the boxed version of the game and love it!..Beer and pretzels are always a must!.
Please consider some of the earlier armies for the editor, in time, like Egypt, Assyria, etc...

Being a player of Napoleon Total War (its mod NTW3 in fact) for years then an Ageod player for a year i think i slowly become fan of Byzantine Games now...FOG2 is brilliant, its pbem system is wonderful, really looking forward to your future titles! just hoping next will be "age of muskets" preferable Napoleonic Era as mentioned. We waited Jmm's Histwar for years (and still waiting lol) so we have the patience i guess. Again congrats, fog2 is a great game, will be following.

When I was making a scenario, I had no idea what the points total was of each side, could there be some way of automatically giving the points total, or do you have to add them up using the squads spreadsheet.
Is there a recommended points total for particular battlefield sizes?

Sorry Chris, I accidentally edited your post instead of quoting it. Anyway I think I have put it back more or less as it was.
/Documents/My Games/FieldOfGlory2
you will find a file called User.txt.
Add the following line to the file:
DEBUGMODE 1.
Then when you hold down the CTRL key you will see the total points for each side.

As per the enemy points in Custom Battles. Is there a recommended points total for particular battlefield sizes?

I agree! Hittites, Philistines (Goliath!), Israelites (King David!), Mitanni, Sumerians, Akkadians, etc. That would be a great DLC.m10bob wrote:I have purchased the boxed version of the game and love it!..Beer and pretzels are always a must!.
