Very interested in this since in my opinion the best ancient warfare computer games are still the Great Battles series from Interactive Magic that dates back to 1997. It would be nice if the AAR showed some video of the game play so that could I see the battle animations. Also, I don't know if there will be any fog of war but some FOW would I think add to the realism. I realize that for most ancient battles the commanders could see pretty well the entire battlefield but being able to hide units in woods or behind hills would add tactics and depth to battles.

You can indeed hide troops in woods and behind hills.canuckgamer wrote:Very interested in this since in my opinion the best ancient warfare computer games are still the Great Battles series from Interactive Magic that dates back to 1997. Thank you for the prompt reply. Checked out some of the videos and it looks great. I will certainly be picking it up as soon as it is available. Being able to play it PBEM is always a priority for me.

Is there no AAR subforum for this game? I have pictures of my game but don't know where to put AAR. If I put it in the general forum it will be buried & forgotten within a day. Where is best to put AAR?
About this Larissa AAR, it is concise and interesting with many pictures which is good. And the Romans lost which is rare and refreshing to witness.

Zakblood and I have moderator rights, but as far as I can tell that does not allow us to add new sub-forums. I have asked the person that can to do so, but he won't be in the office until Monday.GiveWarAchance wrote:Is there no AAR subforum for this game?
