Global Mod
Rise of AI v2.2 Global (updated to be compatible with v1.4.7 of the main game)

The latest version of the Rise of AI mod is Global. This means that once you have downloaded it, it can be set to work with any other part of the game. Use the button in the bottom-left corner of the main menu screen to activate it. Once active it will stay activated until you de-activate it, and will load up automatically each time you start the game.

It has been tested extensively by roguedjack and although we cannot make any guarantees, it should work with the SP versions of:
- Vanilla custom battles and campaigns.
- Silk Road custom battles and campaigns.
- TT Mod custom battles and campaigns.
- Most other user-created campaigns.

We advise that the mod should be disabled when playing vanilla or user-created Epic Battles. Some Epic Battles have scripted strategies for the AI or exotic deployments that will overrule, conflict with or confuse Rise Of AI.

We also advise disabling it for MP. It should be automatically ignored, but we have not tested this.

WHAT IS IT?
A modded "Rise Of Rome Campaigns" campaign with a modified battle AI.
Modifies only the AI files and for this campaign only. You can still play all other campaigns and scenarios with vanilla AI.
It does not modify in any way anything else in the game.
It does not cheat or break rules intentionally in any way.
The AI will play differently, which could be good in some situations and bad in others.
Just consider this as a new AI opponent you can play with.


WHAT TO EXPECT
It will try to do things like :
- generally be more active
- try to not have units getting stuck behind their friends, bumping in the wrong enemy or too timid to attack
- not using too many units on the same target or chasing stuff around and ignoring other targets
- preparing charges with shooting and concentrating fire
- ...and other stuff.
Deployment is tweaked a bit.
It does not modify force composition or teams objectives.
Be warned that the AI turns will be a bit longer. In particular there is a bit of a freeze at the beginning of AI turns and lags at the end.
Note that the AI will now resolve mandatory melees during its turn when it feels like it, like the player would. It will not wait the end of turn autoresolve.


OVERVIEW
Overview of changes from vanilla AI.
- Rewrote the unit list ordering algorithm.
- Rewrote the target rating and selection algorithm.
- Rewrote the threat map algorithm.
- Modified behaviours of missile units.
- Modified some route/pathing behaviours.
- Modified charge chance.
- Modified flank threat evaluation and reaction.
- Tweaked deployment to move back lines closer to 1st line.
- Tweaked master plan reaction distances and positioning.
- Minor tweaks to other stuff.


CODING
Modified AI.bsf and AITools.bsf
Modified MoreScenarioTools.bsf (needed for deployment changes).
New rjai_XXX files.
If you are interested in looking at the scripts all added or modified code is wrapped in commented blocks where possible:

"Rise of AI" AI overhaul mod.

OVERVIEW
This is a minor update to upgrade to FOG2 1.1.5 and address a couple of issues from user feedback.
Compatible with Immortal Fire DLC.


CHANGES
MOD - Included all changes from FOG2 1.1.5 patch.
Keep in mind the following are AI changes, not game rules changes!
FIX - Fixed silly range test bug that made center lights team misjudge range from enemy shooters.
NEW - Fragmented units should not step into enemy charge/shooting range.
NEW - Units close to autobreak much less willing to charge in some circumstances.
MOD - Modified conditions in which non-lights decide to fallback vs shooters, less likely to happen (eg: Spartan spears will fallback less often when facing Persian Sparabara). Please note this has nothing to do with melee/charge fallbacks/evasions.
MOD - Increased effect of target terrain when evaluating a target.

An updated version of this campaign has been uploaded - because it has come to light that because the campaign folder name was the same as the folder name of the vanilla "Alexander the Great (what if?)" campaign, the game was opening vakarr's campaign when the vanilla campaign was selected.

If you have the old version on your system, you can simply change the folder name from

/Documents/My Games/FieldOfGlory2/CAMPAIGNS/AlexanderCampaign

to /Documents/My Games/FieldOfGlory2/CAMPAIGNS/AlexanderCampaign2

(DO NOT RENAME THE ONE IN THE MAIN GAME BUILD)

OVERVIEW
Fix FOG2 1.1.8 compatibility issue.

HOW TO REMOVE PREVIOUS VERSIONS
You can remove the previous versions ingame :

To delete the sandbox campaign:
- Click Campaigns
- Find the old version by clicking on it and looking at the description box below, it says "Version XXX"
- Click Delete

To delete the custom battle:
- Click Battles
- Click Epic Battles (yes, not Custom Battles)
- Find the old version (same as explained above)
- Click Delete

CHANGES
FIX - Fix script error introduced by FOG2 1.1.8 engine changes.
FIX - Applies all 1.1.7 & 1.1.8 changes to MoreScenarioTools.bsf.
MOD - Added description in the custom battle mod to remind users it is a Custom Battles mod only, even if it is listed in Epic Battles for technical reasons.
