If elephants unit is routed

Post by thierry2015 »

One question please (sorry if already asked elsewhere)

But

When the elephants unit is routed as in reality can they turn against their side and charge ?
or are they still trying to only find a way to flee where there is no unit?

even if this behavior is not simulate

bravo for this game awesome

It has been discussed in detail in other threads, but the short answer is that the effect of some elephants bursting through their own side is abstracted into a cohesion test for all friendly units within 2 squares when the elephants rout. This is twice as far as for other routing units and in fact means that there are 3 times as many squares on which a unit would test.

If we made the elephants rout through one friendly unit, with an automatic Disruption, this would in fact usually result in less impact than the present system, which often results in 2 or 3 units Disrupting or even Fragmenting.

Thanks a lot
it's really an incredible game of realism!

so 24 tests instead of 8!
oulala! :) :)

so the elephants are strong but double-edged :?
so use with caution

for the table game with figurine you are also the designer you did the same thing?

No, the computer version works differently in this regard.

 They just hard to kill.
 They have only 100 PoA in melee and don't get any quality buff.

Well they're one of the rare units that can oppose successfully Legionaries or Triarii...
