The bow beats the crossbow! (The stream and the rough ground on the flanks helped too)

Re: Chaos Tourney VI
The Papal Commander had evidently failed his devotional duties and the forces of the Papacy were cut to ribbons before even approaching contact by arrows guided by infernal powers
Well played Sir and several hundred "Hail Mary's" will be necessary before the Pope forgives his buffoon of a General.....

DanZanzibar (Roman) defeats devoncop (Bohemian) 56-23
In a surprise showing by a hoplite Roman army, they managed to overwhelm the Bohemians through sheer strength of numbers, apparently having two men on the field for every one of the enemy. It was a good battle sir!

Aetius39 (Byzantines) defeats devoncop (Antigonid) 43-16
When the pikes engaged any of the Byzantines one on one, they tore through them, but luckily we had numbers on our side, and flanks doomed the pikes!
GG!

Rosedelio (Greeks) defeats Kerait (Normans) 45-13
Our respective left flanks fell, but the Normans' fell faster. In the center, pikes routed the lancers guarding the hill top while light jav horse routed some archers behind them.

Kerait (Roman) defeats devoncop (Indian) 41-5.
Archers simply couldn't survive the charge of the legionaries. The terrain did not suit the Indians. Good game!

Flockaveli (Thracian 460-351 BC) Defeats Kerait (Arab (City) 300-633 AD), 60-52
The thracian offensive spearmen were ultimately able to pull out a very close victory against the Arab swords/light spear
Thanks to Kerait for the nailbiter

DanZanzibar (Danish 1200-1319 AD) defeats Rosedelio (Georgian 331 BC - 252 AD) 63-29
The Danes expected to sweep the outmatched Georgian force away with little resistance but a heroic effort by the Georgian commander saw their irregular foot, supporting lancers, and horde of light skirmishers inflict significant casualties on the Danish shieldwalls before it was done. My compliments to my opponent for the excellent play.

Flockaveli (Dacian (Carpi) 107-380AD) defeats Devoncop (Portuguese 1050-1154AD) 46-21
The Iberian knights trampled many of the pajama-wearing Dacian warriors, but the horde was simply too large, and the Portuguese on foot were eventually overwhelmed by the barbarian tide

Re: Chaos Tourney VI
Rosedelio (German Tribes) draws with Karvon (Thracian) 42-34
The warbands assaulted the Thracian army, taking heavy losses themselves. However, enough of the Thracian army maneuvered away to the rough hill on the German side to survive until nightfall.

Aetius39 (Seleucid) defeats Karvon (Lysimachid) 40-5
Seleucids managed to catch up to, and engage, a few units while the main Lysimachid army was in a wide flanking maneuver. This disrupted the line, and along with some tough luck for the Lysimachids, they were routed on the edge of the map. GG and thanks for playing as usual!

Flockaveli (Arab (Abbasid) 794-814 AD) defeats Karvon (Khorasanian 821-1003 AD) 42-13
The light and medium foot battled over a steep difficult hill in the center of the map, while each army's left wrapped around to fight the other's right. In the end, some unlucky rolls on Khorasanian spearmen, and missile superiority, won the day for the Abbasids.
