Loving it!
Loving it!
Hi all,
Just wanted to pop by and let you all know that I'm absolutely loving this game right now!
I cannot wait to see this game grow, not just with more rich content; such as new races etc. But with the player base as well.
Great job to everyone involved.
One of the best 40k games I've played in a while, since DoW2.

Re: Loving it!
I'm enjoying it too, good going Slitherine/Proxy!
Re: Loving it!
I have to say it's really quite polished and good fun to play. What excites me most is the potential this has for expansions and further DLC and I would love to see the Land Raider added for the Space Marines!
Re: Loving it!
Yes, ProxyStudio devs couldn't miss here, as they had try to do better with Pandora but quite missed it.
So they aimed lower (no diplo, always hostile environment) and they hit excellent this time.
I always dream about a Pandora which would hit the diplo spot with natives, instead of being 'barbarians'.

Re: Loving it!
Me too, the game's got a solid foundation that's fun to play. The only drawback might be a lack of immediately available content, but with updates, expansions, and mods alike, I'm not going to have to worry about it anytime soon lol.
Re: Loving it!
Ditto on loving it. What a great job.., thank you.
Re: Loving it!
Sat playing til 04:30 UK time this morning..... guess I like it
Re: Loving it!
I'm having a blast so far, well done!
Re: Loving it!
However the quests are not balanced with the game, they can easily destroy a game.
So now I play desactivating them (normal and dlc).

Re: Loving it!
Glad you are enjoying the game and we're looking at how to make quests less annoying for some players!
Re: Loving it!
That's great news! Any chance of toning down the amount of wildlife? Getting stomped at the start of a game by a couple of giant robots isn't much fun. The spawn rate of Catachan Devils out of the nests could probably be tweaked downwards as well. I set the sliders to low but still had 5 of the big beasties roaming about my city.IainMcNeil wrote: ↑Mon Jul 16, 2018 11:48 am Glad you are enjoying the game and we're looking at how to make quests less annoying for some players!
Re: Loving it!
Just wrote to my friends:
They eventually made a 4X turn-based game better than "Civ 4 Fall from Heaven 2"
... "actually maybe as good as Master of Orion 2?"
In my world this speaks volume
About the events, guys please note are many options when beginning a new game
You can remove wildlife, remove the Skull Lord etc.
I would prefer that rather than a global nerf.
Because in my opinion a game such as this one works well when it is "challenging" to play on medium difficulty.
EDIT:
edited my impressions after having played a few more games

Dear Devs!
I would really like to thank you for this wonderful game and ask you to NEVER stop working on it
There is so much potential in this, it can easily become your Brand number one game if you keep your focus on improvements, DLCs etc.
I was waiting for CIV like game in the Warhammer 40k universe for an eternity and this one is as close as it can get. Although not perfect
and with many small flaws, the final gameplay and experience are really good!
Keep up the good work!
PS: and please please please add many new races with their own race specific traits and play-styles... and unit voices... and chapter customizations / choices...
PPS: Angry Joe made an actual review for Gladius and its a good one !

Re: Loving it!
Get rid of quests that spawn neutral monsters and instead make quests that ask you to "interact" with your actual opponents.IainMcNeil wrote: ↑Mon Jul 16, 2018 11:48 am Glad you are enjoying the game and we're looking at how to make quests less annoying for some players!
Final quest could be something like "kill the dominant faction".
