Space Marines need to be able to build more than one city

I tried playing as Space Marines. They should be able to build more than one city. Only having one city too severely restricts how much they can build.

The one city can get unlimited special terrain bonuses, iIrc. If you build enough Fortresses of Redemption, you have the most efficient city on the map by far!

and with loyalty bonuses from chaplain and building you can get bonuses so enourmous that there is no need for another city. in the beginning try building more than one of each production facility to double your production speed.

But loyalty buildings have been too much nerfed for SM. SM is so slow now.

Imo I think their econ can keep up, it's just that when you start losing towers the blow is massive so you cant drop them forward unless your prepared to lose them, in general I consider the first 4 towers to be econ and the rest as additive or offensive orientated.

Agreed and it is very easy to destroy them later in the game. Even if you trade units badly but destroy towers you doing much more damage to SM economy. I think later in the game cooldown for placing towers should be lower.

Space Marine are doing just fine with the one city when played correctly. and is one of the stronger factions in the game I think.

As for the towers, I suppose you could have a research that lowered the cooldown of the deployment for the towers?

What do the towers do for the SM economy?

You get the % for adjacent resources.
