Post by uneducated » Sat Jun 29, 2019 3:56 am

Hello everybody!
Thank you for your challenges in the Digital League. I unfortunately will be unable to continue until 4th July (Thursday). I shall continue then as usual and hope this delay doesn't spoil fun!

Query . . .

Post by devoncop » Sat Jun 29, 2019 4:31 am

Division B

devoncop (Arkanian) beat Uneducated (Thracian) as no move received for over 7 days under game rules.

PM sent. Wrong section, wrong army, claim disallowed as uneducated had notified absence for a few days. (stockwellpete)

The army selection poll is now closed . . . 20-5 in favour of limited exemptions

Post by stockwellpete » Sat Jun 29, 2019 6:32 am

Edited

The proposal

Where a nation has six or more armies in a tournament section list (e.g. Classical Antiquity), it is proposed that two different armies from these nations will be allowed in a division from Season 6 onwards. These are the nations that have 6 or more armies in a list that would be exempted from the current "one nation, one army" rule . . .

Classical Antiquity
Achaemenid Persian 6
Carthaginian 9
Greek 7
Thracian 10

This section edited to take into account the new army lists for Season 6 (Romans and Seleucids now removed from the exemption list as they have 5 armies instead of 6) and the omission of the Thracian group of armies from the original post. (stockwellpete)

Late Antiquity
Roman 6

This section edited to take into account the new army lists for Season 6. The Hunnic armies are removed from the exemption list as they now have 4 armies instead of 6. (stockwellpete)

Early Middle Ages
Arab 14
Byzantine 9

Biblical
N/A

Chaos Division Idea

Post by Karvon » Sat Jun 29, 2019 7:52 am

I think this would be a very interesting option. At least a couple others seemed interested. Do we have enough people to make this viable? If you'd be willing to play in such a division, post here.

This is not something that I would want for the FOG2DL, so it would have to be organised separately from what I provide here.

Hi Karvon

After this tournament I will be concentrating my gaming on Field of Glory Empires so I can't commit just yet.

Sorry.

Best wishes

Division A

harveylh - Ptolemaic 166-56 BC defeats pantherboy - Indian 500 BC - 319 AD, 64-33.

Much closer than the score indicates. Great use of light chariots and terrain almost won it for the Indians.

I think this is a good idea, though I'm not enthused about the likelihood of there being more friggin Carthaginians running around in Classical........ ;-)
