Division C
oscarius (Rus) beats paulmcneil (Dailami) 61 - 54
As tight a game as the scoreline indicated with my foe dangerous to the very end. Generally I enjoyed success in the centre while Paul did better on the flanks but ultimately points resolved to my favour.

harveylh – Khorasanian 821-1003 AD with Arab (Abbasid) 815-835 AD ally defeats MorkinTheFree - Polish 966-1057 AD, 43-18.
Scattered patches of rough terrain hurt the Poles as they had no effective MI.

harveylh – Khorasanian 821-1003 AD with Arab (Abbasid) 815-835 AD ally defeats CheAhn - Arab (Conquest) 638-684 AD, 63-50.
The Arab spearmen destroyed the Khorasanian center and their lancers burst through the Khorasanian right and took the early lead. However, on the left flank, the Khorasanian Dailamia infantry with some cavalry smashed the Arab assault and was able to finally flank the Arab center. On the right flank, the surviving Khorasanians successfully counterattacked. My gracious opponent put it best, “Allah is not with us, his light shines on the Khorasanians.” A very good game.

1. Nijis (Chinese Zhou & Warring States 700-351 BC) defeats batesmotel (Chinese Han 200-106 BC with Wuhuan 200 BC - 200 AD allies) 62 - 49.
The battle stayed close until the very end, when cumulative 1- and 2- casualty missile shots finally autobroke enough Han-Wuhuan cavalry to win.

Division D
Schweetness101- Carthaginian (Hannibal in Africa) 202 BC defeated rs2excelsior - Roman 105-25 BC: 55-26
the battle line stretched across a low, wide plateau with a a mixture of rough, open and forested ground, slightly favoring the Carthaginian side and giving them an uphill advantage on a few tiles. Both sides cavalry went almost entirely to their respective right side. The Romans started strong with a few routs on the Carthaginian left, including the Carthaginian elephant, but their cavalry flank petered out under withering ranged fire from a mass of light foot and horse, while the Carthaginian cavalry got a few more good flanks in. The rough terrain permitted inferior Carthaginian infantry to hold out long enough for their cavalry to wrap up the roman left.
