I am in the process of trying to create an Assyrian Army and have a question regarding troop classification. My chief concern is how to classify the main infantry line soldiers. The figures I have were based for DBM and were labled Blade Fast. There are 3 to a stand and they are uniformed but some have swords while others have spears in their hands. They do not have any body armour but they all have a shield and a helmet. The Ospery book shows the same figure with a spear in hand with the sword in its sheath. I think in FOG they would be MF, defensive spear, protected, swordsmen, drilled, average or superior moral grade. Does this seem in line with any of you Assyrian experts? I would appreciate any advice out there.
