Moghul Indian

Post by mikekh » Tue Apr 22, 2008 8:44 am

I've a Moghul Indian army that's never seen a battle and I can't remember if its was a DBR or a DBM based list. Will Moghul Indians appear in any of the future FoG lists?

(Also a Tudor English - but I guess this may just fall out of FoG time frame won't it?)

Thanks

Mike

Moghul Indian would be outside of the scope of these rules. Doing a Babur army for his invasion of India is feasible though as the tactics and technology used are still very medieval.

My notes have these dates :
Delhi Sultanate; Khalji dynasty 1290-1320
Delhi Sultanate: Tughlug dynasty 1320-1413
Vijayanagar Hindu Empire 1336AD – 1565AD
Delhi Sultanate; Sayyid dynasty 1414-1451
Delhi Sultanate: Lodi dynasty 1451-1526
Mughal Empire 1483- 1757 with Babur ruling between 1526-1530 and Akbar ruling between 1556-1605

So I would be surprised if those working on the Moslem Indian Armies were not planning to do thse forces.

Firearms were too important for the Moghul armies for FoG to accurately model them in my opinion.

EDIT: and the units I'm thinking about here would be bunduqchis and the jezailachis which would be a pain to model in FoG.
