Hopefully the Pyrrhus scenario isn't indicative of the design standards of future DLC scenarios.

Wow, good work. I wonder why Rome fought a battle in the plains, then lost? I thought you had to assault forts (fortified terrain) or siege them, but it seemed like Epirus got control of the city without either.

He assaulted and then just viewed the report. He fought the garrison without sieving taking the penalty for an assault.

yeah if you right click on the city itself when you invade a province then all in one turn you can walk into the province, fight the field army, and if you win assault the city, and if you win that take the region. Faster but greater penalties
