I get complaints from other players about the pikes-down pose. Its very difficult to move to base-to-base contact like that. But the appearance is worth it! 99% of the time they are sitting in a display case.
That way they will learn not to face the pikes! That is what I will tell my opponents when I had my 15mm with some pikes down like yours.

I've posted on my blog some picture of my camp. A little diorama for Dionysius I while assisting at an offer before engaging the battle.

Wow there are some great minis in this Gallery thread.

Here are some recent additions to my Mid Rep Romans, nothing too special, but happy to have them done. There are some more pics over on my blog.

You have done a great job with those Old Glory. They are not easy to get a good looking and you did! Well done!

Ambush markers

Post by vitriol » Fri Jul 08, 2011 8:08 am

Surfing the web I’ve founded an interesting idea to realize FOG’s ambush markers. Suddenly I don’t remember neither the author or the website, in any case if he should see mine he’ll recognize his own works: thank you mate!
Here they are, simply daily life settings, easy to find out in country sides just before the arrival of the war and its destruction.

They could almost double as a camp if you put 6 together.

I use clear perspex 40 x 40 squares as ambush markers, with just 'A' marked on. That way they are quite disguised. They are declared at the beginning but then can be forgotton as the game goes on. Even more of a surprise when they come up with an actual ambush. Just adds a bit of flavour too.

Wow! THAT is a camp. I don't even have a clue where you can find all of those figures and supplies in 15mm. Can we see pictures of the army in the background too?

Thanks! Your Arthurian army is a treat to look at. I can't remember ever seeing one before and I especially liked you command bases. Very imaginative and nicely done!

Nice! Those hand painted shields really slow a fellow down.

I agree, crap terrain continues to be the boggieman of far too many FoG games. No excuse really when players have spent so much time/money on nice figures.

This is Donnington's blacksmith set, with some additions, IIRC. I have the same set. I am however going to use the roof as a stage and put some lute players, etc on top.

For Ancients I have bought several types of supplies from Baueda. They have so many varieties of baskets, barrels and boxes that you can make even a market
