Later Hungarian

Post by ogglas » Sun Aug 24, 2008 5:19 pm

Hi all.

Well I thought I´d show off my later Hungarian army now that Eternal Empire i in the pipeline. I painted this army using my old DBA armies as a basis. This period i my all time favorite and I´ve got a Ottoman army which I´ll show you in a couple of days and I´ve already planned a couple of more armies
from this supplement. My regular opponents here in Sweden (Fredrik and Fulgrim here at the forum) are as hooked as I am!

I´m going to play this army in the first Swedish FOG open tournament (more info soon!!) this winter.

Anyway, Hope you like them and sorry for being a total newbie on the camera.

those look superb!

I know the flags are dramatic and help, along with the superb basing, but they paint job itself looks excellent too!

thanks for the pics!

Where did you get those flags?

Thanks for the kind words!

I´d be honoured to be featured in Nicfig´s gallery.

The flags along with the shields are all handpainted on paper.

Absolutely brilliant!

Love to see a few close ups as I like to copy the style.

It's a beautiful army indeed, especially the handpainted flags.

You know there'll be hell to pay if those Moldavians you tricked me into starting turns out to be pants when the supplement is released!

All of 'em! :D

Barring that, how bout the Szek's and the horse archers.

I like those ambush markers and I'm glad to see you add some modeling to those. I was only using blank 40s but you've given me lots of ideas.

Where did you get the cruxificition figures???

Brilliant!

Also, please hurry with those Ottomans!

I'm currently working my way thru my lists and would love to see some of the painted up fellows to really get me in the mood to tackle them.

I was thinking creating a blog to track my progress... so any reference material you used (online or otherwise) would be greatly appreciated...

Impaled and crucified figures are from Donnington.

I´ll take pictures of The Ottomans and some close ups at our gaming night tomorrow.

I´ll give you a list of books when I get home from work today!

90% are Essex. The rest are Mirliton.

Ambush markers are Donnington and ERM, Cohesion markers are Museum miniatures.

Two of the Battlewagons are Minifigs and and rest are scratchbuilt.

Superb looking armies Ogglas 8) ,

I have just starting to gather together the lead required to field an Ottoman Vs Hungarian in 25/28mm ~ Something of a daunting prospect  ~ however viewing your armies arrayed for battle is most inspiring!

I would be most interested in perusing your Army Lists for your forces ?

Regards.
