Bayfog IX 2017 21-22 Oct

Just to confirm the dates for this year as sat/sun 21/22 Oct in Robin Hood's Bay village hall as usual.

Format is likely to be 900pts, open, with pre set terrain (unless anyone has any better suggestions)

Am hoping for a new sponsor this year.. lets just say we'll be calling it 'The Matey games' or 'Mateyfog'

Anyone knowing the full words to the song is likely to get a small discount on entry fee.

Are you going to have the rule about dismounting cavalry and knights again?

I'd prefer it was shelved for 2017 as since the terrain is preset one's army cannot truly respond to the challenge.

oh dear i cant remember last year's rules... i quite liked a no knights rule and pre set terrain and 900pts..... what do you reckon? (i used knights last year so we didnt have that rule last year)

The rule was if you had mounted troops that could dismount, if you did so in the first game you had to do so in all the other games.

Conversely in they remained mounted in first game they couldn't dismount in any subsequent games.

am always happy to consider comments from long standing profit centres, oops, sorry i mean customers... especially those with arab armies that can dismount

so yes happy to have only 2 rules this year
pre set terrain and no knights... everything else as per rule book for 900pts (version 2 unless things move forward swiftly in the coming months....)

Re no knights - using the pre 1040 AD date for the introduction of knights or allowing armies from post 1040, just ones without knights?
