Hmm, wonder if I'll face pikes at some point over the weekend?

Wow! After the high proportion of Roman armies at Devizes it looks like there's been a lot of second guessing the same would happen at Britcon - including by myself. Never seen so many elephant/pike armies before!

I'm not opening a book on it but I think this might play into the hands of my fellow MAWS members Dave Ruddock and Paul Longmore, with their crossbow supported armoured polearm Han Chinese. Just saying...

There were a lot of Romans at Devizes as there could be no Pike

Okay. A question of first guessing then...

Well done and thanks Phil.

11 different lists from 24 - should be fun! Keen to see how well the much vaunted Han do....

Well, as long as there are lots of elephants and pikes I will be fine... Less keen on those Romans...

I didn't realise we were allowed to choose competitive armies. Well done to those who chose challenging armies rather than Roman, Han, or pike armies. All six of us.

Perhaps we should get a bonus set of points. I suspect I might need it.

Ah, no one has mentioned their fear of the hordes of unprotected javelins I have. No surprise really, neither would I be.
