Caster of Magic for Windows will be out on the 22nd of April

Post by Edmon »

Built on the already expansive community patch by fans that wouldn't let this 90's classic fade away, Caster of Magic for Windows brings the much-loved game Master of Magic into the modern era with full and native Windows support. This includes a fully resizable game window and full screen support as well a huge amount of work put forward into making this game run with exceptional smoothness and stability.

It is not just system support improvements that have been made, however, as the gameplay that stood up to the test of time has been massively expanded. There are now variable map sizes, new game mods and options, 21 new spells seamlessly blended into the unique magic system that has kept the fans playing for decades. In fact, the original classic on steam still enjoys a 98% positive user review score at the time of writing.

There has never been a better time to give Caster of Magic a try, if you missed out on playing the original. Caster of Magic has evolved past many of the fiddlier issues that plagued games from its era. This is thanks to the improved UI, production screens, improved A.I., seamless procedurally generated terrain and improved item creation system.

If that wasn't enough, the diplomacy system has been fleshed out with new messages that better match the personalities of the other players and characters. You can also teach your heroes new abilities with the vials system. There is so much more to discover in this remastered classic.

This is the game that has depth and replayability in spades, with tactical spell-casting combat that keeps you engaged in the action for hours and hours.

Caster of Magic will be releasing on the 22nd of April.

Check it out in advance on our product page here.

Curious about this one. Hope we'll get a video on how it plays compared to the dos version.

Edit: The forum link on the store page https://www.slitherine.com/game/master- ... or-windows points to the Panzer Corps 2: Tech Support page. I strongly feel we should not give those mages access to tanks.

Opps! I shall report this lack of respect for planeswalking and/or temporal law to my superiors.

Yep, this is indeed THE gamechanger! Everything else is absolutely awesome as well, of course.
