All the more reason to have some sort of anchor point like a time-zone reference to set expected response times.

All game tournaments (be it face to face or remote) are a social contract. A commitment of good sportsmanship, fair play and hopefully fun (although some of us take it a lot more personally than they should). Therefore my suggestion for the second round... which can begin anytime now as I believe all games are completed... is that in the first message of your very first turn you introduce yourself, provide the time zone information you are in, and possibly provide a time window which you will be able to exchange your turns... as in "Hi I'm Martin, I'm fighting from Ottawa Canada, UTC - 5:00. I can do my turns from 6pm-9pm my time... but if you're in Europe, I'll try to' be on during my lunch hour (6 or 7pm your time) so that we can battle it out)"

Also as per Gerifonte's suggestion, if you're having a technical problem, post it on this forum and post it early.... that being said, Gerifonte should read the forum posts to insure Garb has not responded prior to posting his abrasive comments,

Anyhoo! Good Luck to all of us in the second round

Hi All,

We're looking into this now. I don't think it's actually a tech issue but a time-out. I'll be back to update later

Thanks

I see that the next round has started. Is this okay without having solved the problems of the previous round? As I think the points assigned in my rounds whit Grab are not correct and that could cause the pairings of the second round are not correct. Is not going to solve?

We will change the score and ranking, but we can't change the pairing for round 2. You're still going to face your current adversary, so feel free to go ahead!

Sorry for the technical problems.

We fixed the scores and rankings resulting from the first round.

Sorry again for the inconvenience.

In my current paired games, I encountered a glitch where I was able to redo the same turn again. I repeated my moves with identical results; however, a less sportsmen like contestant might be tempted to play a different hand, redoing a failed attack or foregoing it altogether. Has anyone else encountered a similar event?

Not a tournament game, but also "Bitter End"_scenario: I can't start play the game 16.06. (against manteuffel/I am Axis); have a "restart"-error, but the game doesn't restart ...

I found that the glitch occurs if you click too fast between games. The session times out and the turn is not sent allowing you a second bite at the apple... has anyone else experienced the same glitch?

@Gerifonte: I think you are happy that I am your opponent, you will win with a lot of points

Well, my game as a German if that has worked out well. But in my game as an allied you have caused me many problems and I am not very happy. In this game you have been a very tough opponent. Good game!

My opponent simply quit moving and ended up with more points where he was German and losing where he was Allied. The game showed plenty of time left but he did not move for roughly 24hrs. Not sure if he quit, forfeited or somehow timed out. Anyway, I was in a good position in both games and wonder if something went wrong or there is a way to game the system.

HI Napoleon, I think that jota timed out, which is a shame as it looks like you had some good games going there.

Also, big props to Gerifonte and HJB who, in one of their games, have managed 226 turns!!! (next closest was Huragan and Froeli on 147)

I had no other chance, because Gerifonte is such a nasty enemy, you have a lot of fighting work to do ...

TECH ISSUES RE: ROUND 3

Hi all,

Went to start round 3 today 23/04/17 at around mid day (GMT) , seems i have four turns to take but no opponent and cannot make any moves anywhere. I believe that two of these turns of left over from my last game which unfortunately timed out. I'm guessing the other two turns are my new turns for the third round. However i think there must be some issue with the server thinking i am playing two separate rounds in the same tournament? Is anyone else having this issue?

Looking forward to a swift resolution to this issue so my opponent and myself can get this last game underway.

Many Thanks

Al

I have 2 x 2 games (Axis / Allies) against GRAB, I opened only 1 (Axies) + 1 (Allied) and start gaming; I ignore the other 1 + 1.

I also have four games going, against the same opponent, for round three.
