Job Description
This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the fastest-growing companies in the video gaming industry. Strategy-specialist Slitherine, is looking for an Assistant Build Manager to work on our expanding range of video games.
We are offering an exciting position in a creative and active environment, where your input will count!
Role
 Testing new video games and all preparation tasks prior to release.
 Scripting and building installers and game launchers.
 An ability to seek out and take on new tasks, identify, analyse and test systems with minimal direction or supervision.
 Programming experience is an advantage.
 The drive to improve existing pipelines and tools to decrease processing times.
 A passion for games, especially Strategy games, a big plus.
 Interact with other departments in the company.

About You
We believe that actual skills and determination may be more valuable than qualifications and a more formal background.
Success in this role will be assisted by the following:
 Excellent oral and written communication skills, including accurate and timely reporting.
 A strong ability to prioritise and multi-task across competing demands.
 Ability to immediately recognise critical issues or testing deficiencies and raise concerns.
 Ability to adapt based on the changing needs of the company.
 To identify and escalate risks and potential areas of concern with appropriate sense of urgency.
 Knowledge of the strategy game genre of video games.
 Located in Epsom Surrey.

Hello i do not have the skills to do such a thing but my dream job is to design video games and create them on my own one day i have so many ideas lol. What kinds of schools do i need to focus on so i can start such and endeavor my self one day?

The easiest way to get in is as a programmer. Programmers with design skills can make their own games with some help from an artist. Making demos or prototypes is the best way to show what you can do. Modding other games if you don't have programming skills is another good way to build up a portfolio. Its far more impressive to see things achieved than qualifications, though they help too and often are required.
