I was 10 when the 1962 one came out
So was I.

The 2009 version is Russian. The link for the trailer is near the top of the thread. The trailer is better than the movie!

I loved the 1962 movie as a kid, although the 2009 movie has better costumes, especially the Polish cavalry.

Then you will prefer surely With Fire and the sword. Have it a look.
I saw it in 1999 and was in only one theater and been only one week.
And as I said it had as consultant at Richard Brezazinski.

And in 1612 there is also a lot of Winged polish hussars and german mercenaries.
