Any news from other games? As this is the weekend better chance to play and possibly finish games. Noticed there are still a few challenges still up. Not sure if othere have even been posted?

Burinus 19 (16) vs Martog 19 (-47)
Supervark 18 (-34) vs Cytus 17 (23)
Todd645 17 (-12) vs Turk1964 16 (-9)
Aristides 16 (-14) vs Cromlechi 15 (27)

Although BA should have posted the challenge not Martog
I have a feeling that both the Cs will not accept the challenge
My game with Sharkall is still in it's beginning steps, we're at turn 4 or something.

Then again, as this is the last game in the tournament, is there really a rush at all? It's not like it'll slow anything down. :)

And by the finish I had managed to get 30+ of my units up to Ian's baseline. That's proper running away, that is. :D I still reckon I should get some points for such a grand achievement though. :P

jonno - unfortunately your 6 vs 1 result was for the previous round and so is a bit late

Tiavals - this round finishes on 2nd May

Pete - 30+ = a record I reckon and nope :)

To players who have finished round 6 games, cheers.

Thanks for a great contest Eric. I didnt do all that well but enjoyed playing a challenging contest. It would have been nice if some people could have answered challanges instead of simply not responding  Thanks to all my opponents i had a great time.

Just another reason to go to 5-1 for unplayed matches, Eric - if me and Ian had been a bit skullduggerous, we could have agreed to not finish our game (saying that "real life" had intervened etc) and then you would have either scored it 4-2 or 3-3. In both cases we both would then have got more points than what we actually did from the 2-1 result we achieved by playing the game promptly to a conclusion. Me and Ian are honest men!

Pete - Yep thought of that but I do rely on players being honest, which I believe is the case. Again players could argue over who didn't move, who was slow etc and then some player may receive a 5 vs 1, when it shouldn't be the case.

If I run another comp similar to this in the future. I will have to specify only players who can play 12 turns in 10 days can take part (that is what I am thining of next). If a player is unable to fisnih his game based on unforsdeen circumstances then I would have to offer a reasoanble score to the other player.

I would like to probably include teams of 3 in the future as well, the teasm should all be relatively equal, based on rakings and abilities. Therefore there will be an overall individual winner and team winner so it may give extra motivation for players to finish.

I could always ask a player/players to print screen, their final turn and email it to me ia ana ttachment just to be 100%

Finally have spoken to Slitherine themselves and maybe they could also assist in some way

Consequently, being stricken down should come as no surprise, and a rightfully deserved one ! I will rise up as a force ghost and become more powerful than ever. I see that we have but one game, you with the Dacians and me with Dominate Roman(western late). Oh, it will be a most terrible bloodbath, there is little hope for you.
