No problem dear Martin,
If Jim does not remember either, i can accept an estimate score. Do we speak for something like 85%-100% or something even closer?

Make it 95% to 100%. That will teach me to put in the score next time.NikiforosFokas wrote:No problem dear Martin,

I am sorry, but I really don't remember the score...I think it may have been worse than 85%-100%, and I know it was worse than the 95% to 100% Martin graciously offered, but I can't remember and the result is no longer in my "results" list. WAIT A MINUTE!!! I just found it. 63% to 100%. Martin smacked my Sarmatians quite hard.
I will now have some quiet time to mourn.

batesmotel (Sarmatians) 8/28 beat allendeuce (Franks) 42/42
allendeuce (Sarmatians) 20/25 beat batesmotel (Franks) 45/45
Thanks for the games. Frankish numbers don't seem to make up for the Sarmatians concentrated punch and maneuverability.

Re: The Byzantine World Part 1: 4th Century
MikeMarchant's Byzantines 14/25 gave Kostas' Scots/Irish 47/46 a right mauling.
The Gallics had the numbers but, sadly for them, not the quality. The Byzantine army required nothing by way of strategy or cleverness, they needed only to copy the old Roman tactic of marching inexorably forward mincing everything that got in their way. Nothing got in their way for very long.
Bad luck, Kostas, you really needed some useful terrain for this one.
Best Wishes
Mike

Well done Mike. I hope i will not prove wrong, as i afraid, that you dont need strategy to win the Scots.

MikeMarchant's Scots/Irish 31/42 beat Kostas' Byzantines 27/25
A tough battle where the barbarians were able to take advantage of terrain on both flanks to encircle the slower heavier army. Once those barbarians were in the Byzantine rear it was only a matter of time. That and I got my boys drunk beforehand.
Bad luck, Kostas, good battle though.
Best Wishes
Mike
