Group 2
cunningcairn (Yorkist) 31/36 beat LordNytram ( Lancastrian) 39/39
very close game that could easily have gone the other way.

Lysimachos (French Ordonnance, early) 10/29 beats MikeMarchant (Ordonnance Burgundian) 28/27
The french superior Ordonnance men at arms were no match for the burgundian average Ordonnance men at arms
Mike suffered just for this difference in the army composition ..

You're being modest, Lysimachos, you played well and better than me.
Best Wishes

Lord Nytram (Burgundian) 19/32 defeats allendeuce (French) 30/29
Began as a really tight game and his line of longbow with stakes in the center really gave me a problem as my mixed knights and longbow approached. However they stayed in place as my average knights peeled off to the left and right leaving a handful of my longbow to keep them occupied. I concentrated on the flanks and slowly overpowered them. Thanks for the game Jim.

iandavidsmith (Ordonnance Burgundian) 15/30 beats emilianoj imenez(French Ordonnance, early) 29/27
After a standing broadside of arrows by each sides longbows , the Burgundian army was able to break through
in the centre and then come around behind the French spears who where already in melee, Fearing lots of knights
and or vampires the Burgundian longbow bought their stakes.
Thanks for the game ,
Ian

Jonathan4290 (French) 17/33 defeats Okie (Burgundians) 26/26
The French set up their line of longbowmen/crossbowmen with flanks anchored on a hill on the right and a forest on the left with a hidden force of average knights. The French longbowmen set up portable defences and awaited the Burgundian attack. The Burgundian knights in their impetuousness charged the French longbowmen without noticing they had the protection of portable defences, destroying the best noblemen of Burgundy while the wings fought to stalemates.

Re: SP's Late Medieval tournament is now open . . .
I will post the third matches of the group stage tomorrow as there is still one second round match in progress.
Where players finish on the same number of points after the third match I will decide who finishes above the other by looking at the result of the match between those two players. I was hoping that maybe the award of bonus points for big wins might have separated out players a bit more, but most of the matches have been close fought affairs.
