Hello Pers-Anders. I have read it all through once now and I'll have another look this evening. The Swedish secessionists are having a bit of a "Kagemusha moment" right now though as I have got my head full of Slitherine Trophy stuff - so Anders is standing in as Gustav for the time being. Not as good looking as me, of course, but from a distance who will notice?

Anders asked my to clarify a couple of rule sections:
7.3.3 Attacks against castles have ”fixed” deployment as the attacking army may attack with up to 3 contingents. The player commanding the attacking army instructs the GM which BGs will be included in which contingent.
The 3 contingents may be set up on 3 three different sides of a castle, that's why an army attacking a castle my split up in 3 contingents.
4.7.2 If a Swedish army moves to a province that has not yet joined the rebellion, there’s a 20 % risk that this province won’t join the rebellion at all. This will be checked by the GM as soon as he moves has been sent to him.
The intention is not that a Swedish army can move into a province to provoke them to join the rebellion. Instead there's a risk that the men in the province won't join the rebellion at all, even if conditions are met for them to join the rebellion.
Maybe there could be included as an option in a future version of the rules that a named commander could be sent to a province to try and get them to join his side. But that's an idea for the future...

Both sides has sent their orders and the dice decided that the Danish won the initiative this phase.

Danish 1. Army of Bohus will move to Westra Gotaland to prevent uprising. -- Move confirmed
Swedish 1. Army of Nerke besieges Örebro Castle -- Will have to give up their attempt to siege the Castle as Army of Skåne arrives to break the siege

Danish 2. Army of Skane will attempt to break the siege of Orebro castle in Nerke. -- Move confirmed, will fight a AFD vs Army or Nerke as this army didn't move into the province this phase.
Swedish 2. Army of Dalarna moves to Westmanland preparing to besiege Västerås Casle. -- Waiting for response of Army of Västerås as Army of Dalarna arrives before Army of Uppsala can come to strengthen Army of Västerås. Army of Västerås may choose to defend the province in the field or wait inside the castle. If they stay inside the castle the Army of Dalarna may choose to stay in the province preparing a siege or attack the castle. Update -- Army of Västerås has decided to meet Army of Dalarna in the field.

Danish 3. Army of Stockholm will move to Uppland engaging any enemy forces that may enter. -- Move confirmed
Swedish 3. Army of Gestrikland moves to Westmanland. -- Will be able to move to Westmanland if Army of Dalarna fights a battle in the field and loses.

Danish 4. Garrison of Uppsala castle will move to Westmanland merging with the Garrison from Vasteras and fight any enemy in the field. -- Army of Uppsala arrives to late to merge before any battles, but can do so after all battles have been fought and the Danish side have repelled all Swedish attempts to control the province

Danish 5. All other armies will defend their respective provinces.

Confirmed battle
Nerke -- Army of Skåne (Batesmotel) AFD vs Army of Nerke (Voskarp)
Westmanland -- Army of Dalarna (Hidde) AFD vs Army of Västerås (Pantherboy) (Now confirmed battle!)

Possible battles
Westmanland -- Army of Dalarna ME vs Army of Uppsala
Westmanland -- Army of Gestrikland AFD vs Army of Västerås OR Army of Gerstrikland AFD vs Army of Västerås (Castle)
Westmanland -- Army of Gestrikland ME vs Army of Uppsala

The key province Westmanland could see much fightings this phase, much depends on what Army of Västerås and Army of Dalarna chooses to do.

I will prepare Battle of Nerke while waiting for Army of Västerås response to Army of Dalarna moving into Westmanland.
I'd like both sides to send me A) who will command each army in Nerke, and B) which BG's will fight the battle. Remember that you now may pick 20 BG's, named commanders are considered bonuses.

Post above updated!

Army of Västerås has decided to meet Army of Dalarna in the field --> Westmanland -- Army of Dalarna AFD vs Army of Västerås

I need to know (please send pm) who will command Army of Dalarna and which units it will consist of. The Danish has already informed me who will command their armies this round. I still need to know both sides units in the battle of Nerke (Army of Skåne AFD vs Army of Nerke) and also who will command Army of Nerke.

I believe you get to pick 20 BGs plus any named commanders present if there is enough BGs available to the army.

Battle of Nerke ready to be played: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/535 ... 8P2%29.zip

If you have problem downloading and installing, please send me a pm.

Remember to check if I've made some error in the set up of BG's.
Also remember that any Routed BG's at the end of the battle now are lost permanently...

Well spotted, but my intention in the rewritten rules was to decrease the number of artillery pieces:
6.1.2 If defender is not in a castle the army will the terrain will slightly be in the defenders favour.
(the gap is text that should be removed: 'the army will')

In Nerke, the defending army (Army of Nerke) does not have a Lt Arty either.

Is it ok to go with the rule change, or would both sides have the original rule back? In that case I will change both battles. No problem for me either way.

My error. I didn't reread the rules. I have no problem with less artillery.

Cheers,

No problem, Steve. There are a lot of minor changes. I don't remember them all either

I have 22 Bp.
With Gustav as a bonus I should have 21, not 22?

I think you've got two named leaders in the army thus 22.

Anders, you got both Gustav Vasa and Lasse Olsson leading your Army of Dalarna.
9.3.3 An army may have multiple commanders leading it in battle.
