Hi, Im using a Dell XPS L502X using Windows 7 home premium, with Nvidia Geforce GT 540M graphics card and 6GB of RAM with an Intel i7 processor. I installed the game and then tried to run it, once i got to the main menu I click new, then when i click campaign it freezes saying that the "Could not add source filter to graph! hr=0x80004005" This is a new computer so I havent updated much, so I updated all my drivers and updated directx to directx 11. But the problem seems to persist. I have tried loading it with everything turned off (sound, shaders, reflections, etc) and med quality on both options for graphics (i think) but again it didnt seem to work. Hmm - that's an error we usually see when someone has removed the media player codecs from their system. You should be able to get around it and play the game by renaming the MOVIES folder which can be found inside each of the campaign folders in DATA\CAMPAIGNS (e.g. simply rename it to aaaMovies etc to prevent the game finding the movies and attempting to play them).

Hmmm - OK, I took a look through the code. This seems to be an issue with the codec - looking at the diag, you have Roxio installed, and sometimes the drivers that these apps install (as part of their video burning) don't behave as well as the stock codecs. What seems to be happening is that the codec is not returning the appropriate code (that the file isn't there - which would just exit cleanly) but instead some other error.
I'm going to try and build a version to work around this problem, and then get a link for you to download an tweaked game EXE to fix the issue.

Well that was an interesting problem 
. I'm in the midst of reworking some of our shared code libraries, and wasn't expecting to go back to GBM any time soon, so I couldn't just build a new version of the game with a few fixes. Rather than have you wait for me to refactor some of the rendering and string code (which is what needed to be done) I have gone into the EXE and tweaked a few bytes by hand to change the way it handles the error - luckily I wanted to replace larger instructions with smaller ones, and fill the gap with no-operation bytes!
If you could download the tweaked EXE from

and see if it fixes your issue, that would be great. You'll need to extract the EXE file from the zip (remember that windows might helpfully block it as it is a downloaded EXE) and place it in the install folder for the game (you'll see a GBM.EXE file in there already). Hopefully it will do the trick! Note that shortcuts etc will all be pointing to the old EXE, so be sure to test by directly running the new EXE. Once we are happy it fixes your issue, you can rename the original EXE to GBM_OLD.EXE and then rename this new one to GBM.EXE and all the shortcuts will then point to the new EXE. Hmm - hope that's clear! Fingers crossed.

. I'm in the midst of reworking some of our shared code libraries, and wasn't expecting to go back to GBM any time soon, so I couldn't just build a new version of the game with a few fixes. Rather than have you wait for me to refactor some of the rendering and string code (which is what needed to be done) I have gone into the EXE and tweaked a few bytes by hand to change the way it handles the error - luckily I wanted to replace larger instructions with smaller ones, and fill the gap with no-operation bytes!If you could download the tweaked EXE from
