H.Balck's AFRICA CORPS
Moderators: Slitherine Core, Panzer Corps Design, Panzer Corps Moderators
I feel that let your fantastic work die would be a loss - for you HBalck and for the rest of the PzC players.
You might post your desire for betatesters in the normal forum
Speaking for myself, I dont play MP games that much and I am no Field Marshallmyself at all. That are my reasons for not participating.
But to throw away what you created with that much effort - sleep over it one more time.

At the very least, consider leaving your files up, and granting free permission for others to reuse in their own scenarios. That way you might leave a legacy easily as impressive as the campaigns themselves.
But HeinzG is right. Before you make any decisions, sleep on it. In fact, let it lie untouched for a few days. Take a small "vacation" away from working on your units and graphics completely, doing something else completely.
Perhaps when you return you will find your enthusiasm have returned... Perhaps you would even consider (re-)starting with something a little less ambitious. Say a single (small) scenario, which really showcases your great terrain and your meticulously designed units in a way that makes even the casual visitor to Slith's site *have* to play with your stuff!
Then you could resume your work on your mega campaign a little bit at a time...
Best of luck.

Like several others who have posted in this thread, I never play MP games, but I have to say that your work to date has looked terrific, and I was living in the hope that there would be a single player campaign some time in the future. To give up on all that work now seems like a great waste and would be an even greater shame. Please take the time to consider your decision very carefully - I'm sure there are many, many players out there who feel the same way.

The work and talent shown in this thread by HBalck is really quite fantastic. I have never beta tested any part of this version or others. I don't consider myself really a good enough player to do it in reality. But this amount and quality of work is so outstanding to me it is mind boggling. I am working on a series of scenarios on the Eastern Front and just from making the maps I have a very small inkling of the amount of work HBalck has done here. My maps are only in the range of about 90X130 (5KM to 7KM scale) with less units and it is sometimes overwhelming to me even at that level.
I wish I could get all fired up about Africa scenarios and campaigns, but they are just not my cup of tea. Had this been set in Europe, especially the Eastern Front, I would probably died and gone to Valhalla by now having this available to enjoy. My life would have evolved into a "TRON" being in the game probably.

Old Timer Panzer General fan. Maybe a Volksturm soldier now. Did they let Volksturm drive Panzers?

Thank you ! After Africa Corps I will finish my 18th tank division Campaign together with the greatest MP ever "Barbarossa Army Group Center" - all with new unit design, realistic map terrain graphics and the same parameters / scales from Africa Corps. Believe me I have also all thinkable 3D figures for the eastern front like T-35, T-28, T-37, T-20, Zis-42, Russki Ford etc. and all historical Infantry Figures for the germans and for the soviet historical divisions. The work and talent shown in this thread by HBalck is really quite fantastic. I hope I can set this to Christmas this year !

Just wanted to repeat that it's a great boon to Panzer Corps that you didn't throw the towel, after all. Thank you!
I might occasionally be nitpicking your work, but it's all supposed to be in good spirit - it's outstanding and I don't think I'd be able to rival it, not even remotely. I'll definately play the first singleplayer release you'll put on offer.

I will send the finished Campaign only for my tests players yet - so you can play the first 6 scenarios of the DAK campaign in the next week.
All others must wait for the completly campaign coming up next year.
