Hehe... Nah, just "negotiating" while nothing is quite set in stone... There's plenty of flexibility, in that Allies could earn Medic/Rally bonuses once certain map thresholds are achieved... Allies could get more frequent use of Typhoons, etc, to match real world of hundreds of sorties per day called down from a "cab rank"... I just remember the bad old days of BA v2.0.1 before Iain balanced out the Tigers and Panthers... And I confess I never had to face 14 of the buggers then... You're right, let's see how it goes... But I'll be real curious to check out the AARs out of whichever of us faces those Tiger-only and Panther-only divisions first... How's it going on Coursuelles? :-)

I really do appreciate that you're the the Allied Commander, and the thoroughness that you're using to make this an awesome experience!

@Granfali,

Battle carryover mechanics question please: :-)

I'm controlling 3rd inf div, 8th bn (8/3)... Unit composition is 30 infantry, 31 armour, 12 support (30/31/12).

But in battle, I've got a subset of 26 of those units attacking 20 of your I/736/716 volksgrenadiers on Sword beach (Good fight btw... took awhile to find you, but I suspect this village and final flag will be painful for me!).

If several of those units become wounded, to 6/8, 2/8, 1/4 say (frankly, you're giving me a nasty mauling!! ;-)) do they all get returned to the BG pool? Basically, is my job to keep them alive, no matter how badly damaged, because then I can have them back fully recovered to 8/8 and 4/4 next time out?

About pool casualities (kills):
-A unit must be destroyed completely to be considered "casuality" (has to appear on "kill screen", k key) so if one man keep alive his unit not is considerated as such and it is no deducted from its pool.

About Tigers BG.

It is an awesome unit, semi-unstoppable. But imagine, it reachs the beach... looks at right... looks at left... and start to feel something called "solitude" ??? :mrgreen: To do a decisive role with that BG it is neccesary to be accompanied with another BGs... so think... :wink:

There is no limit in battles (only pool limits obviously...) If BG has 10 tigers, then can use them.

But, and again, consider that 12 BGs have 17 pdr guns, and Piats can "negociate" them decently with side and rear shots.

For the moment, invasion is being overwhelming, ruskies are raising hands everytime hear some shots :evil:

Yes, this is a "special" battle. If you take map (you will...) then next battle be played with regular five flags.

@Random, You're at Pegasus right? I wonder if Pegasus deliberately only has four flags? Granfali?

Technical question on winning: If one side kills all of his opponent's units, is that winner awarded all of the map's flags automatically? Or only those flags that were held before the last enemy unit died? I need to decide whether to go with a naval barrage that might (accidentally) kill the last few enemy units before I can take the last flag... Otherwise, I've got to do it the old fashioned way... ???
