Massina_nz vs Suprass- The Great War

26 NOV 1914

Quiet at the west. Garrison which was attacked every turn this one has quiet. Trench has been built so I left my cavalry unit at this possitio. It can go almoust anywhere I want to in case of attack.



In Serbia I decided to flank Belgrade. There was opportunity to destroy corps and gain another cleare direction for attack. Next turn I'll start barrage and the assault- I hope. It depend on Massina's move. I decided to attack on the left flank but there was no good results.



In Russia there was heavy fights. I've allmoust lost one AH corps near Lumberg and I switched it witch fresh one with counterattack. I attacked at allmoust all length of the front to drain PP and keep Russians buisy. I hope there will be no counter attack frome Brest Litevsky. For now Vilna and kovno is my goal. Next turn winter should came so I will stop until spring. I will have arty for AH (started to build new one) and I hope to be ready for attack at Brest- Litoivsky and Vinnitsa.



Vilna survived with only one step... Next turn I hope to take it and make some repair along the front line. Now I'm thinking about makeing zeppelin to bomb London or maybe to build submarine... But first I have to build some more units Maybe three corps for eastern front and two corps for western one.
maybe I'll send my cavalry units to sorround Brest in winter... or push to Minsk.




Building new line at Beirut- Damascus. As I suspected I've lost my cavalry unit. Ottoman Empire takes first city from Russia. English force trying to land in Kuwait. I've put there garrison.



AH fleet survived last turn and I am trying to flee to safe water. Cruisers are safe but Massina can find my Drednought...

10 DEC 1914


Quiet at the western front.



At last my AH fleet done something usefull Battleships destroyd... Massina found them...


Siege of Belgrade started. Garisson is reduced to 4 step and will be switched. I will kill it and sorround the city next turn. If Massina will stay at his possition I'll try to sorround his army by pushing to Niss.


Battle in Ukraine- I have lost one AH corps and Russians lost cavalry unit. Now it's time for bulid defence for winter and start offensive in spring. I hope that my casulties were worth it. I think it's my defect to sucryfice to much menpower without a blink in the eye and it can vengeance to me. If there will be chance I'll try to make outflank move as my brother said, but I don't know if this is a good idea to make it in winter.


Minsk is captured. Kovno will be sorrounded next turn.
Fighter squadron sent by railway to France.


Ottoman Empire try to build defece line. Jerusalem holds for one more turn. Russian armourd train has been moved to stop my offensive and retook the city I've captured last turn- Sarikamish.

24 DEC 1914

Western front without changes except my fighter squadron which has arrived. I can see french concentration in one of expected offensive places. I have to scout it more next turn. German arty is ready to take possition. Only one unit must be enough- second is going to open spring offensive in Russia I hope that Alied are going to wait untill spring.


Kovno sorrounded. I will secure road to Minsk witch my cavalry unit untill spring.


German artillery moved to this front frome Serbia. With start of the spring I will start my offensive to crush Brest- Litovsky front line. I willl use two arty- one german and one AH. I hope to surprise Russians. If I'll be successful I'll be able to free my german forces from Brest and push with them into Vitebsk- Gomel direction. AH will go for Kiev.


Belgrade taken. Massina didn't swith or repair garisson inside so it was easy target. I think it was a good move. Yelow Serbian garrison hold against two attacks and inflict heavy casulties to AH. One arty will support AH in finnishing job heare. I hope to do it before Italy enter war.

7 JAN 1915

Western stalmate... I have scouted that there is no second line near Paris. Massina may prepare something deep in his territory to surprise me. I have to scout from Strassburg if there are any signs of future attack. Subs will take an eye on british sea movement.
Where are the british force? Maybee they are going to knock out Ottoman.


Road to Minsk secured. Now waiting for spring and some more reinforcements.


Germans and AH pushing around Brest- Litovsky. I've killed one russian corps and encircled fortress. When my artillery recover from transport I'll start assault and then push at Smolensk. Cavalry unit set to secure flank in case of Russian attack on my positions at Brest. Situation is looking very good for me. Next turn AH artillery will be ready.


In Serbia AH push hard with some casulties. Time is ticking so I have to be quick but I have to catch a breath. Ammunition level is low so next turn may be smal pouse in offensive actions.


It seems that British force is stoped. I have some time to build fortyfications. Also research on industrial warfare is closer to be finished.
I had a miss-clik and bought ammunition prodaction for Ottoman Empire- 5 pp lost :/
Alied has entire MedSea in their controll so there is a chance for Gallipoly ore samething like that.


It is strange... I have noticed that some units does not get effectivness loss from winter move.

Still quiet... Is this good? I don't know but it looks like Massina isn't going to prepare attack. But it only can look like this. Maybee he is keeping his army out of my sight. I can see that there is only one unit with upgrade- rest is level I (French). I feel something tricky.


In Russian there is artillery unit behind Riga and I was forced to pull back with my garrison. Russians may try to recapture Kovno. I've moved back my cavalry unit and will send some reinforcement. If Massina willl attack I will try to defend. No offensive moves frome me until I destroy Brest- Litevsk


South part of the eastern front is looking good. Brest- Litovsk sorrounded and I gave a brake frome fight for my units. Russians doesn't sleep so I have to be carefull.


In Serbia AH still push preventing to build trench.


Ottoman Empire has quiet turn and nothing special was done.

Quiet. Last preparation of defence line.



Small push in Serbia. Two garrisons destroyed. I have to wait untill my army rest. Next turn I'll try to be quiet.


Both eastern fronts are quiet now. Waiting for spring. My convoy was attacked and escort battleship engaged british subs...




No action frome Ottoman Empire- waiting for industrial warfare.

Germans lounched attack near Verdun. Massina scouted my line with his fighter squadreon so I choose to try small attack. First artillery bombardment, afther that the time has came for infantry. I had lost only one step. Also corps to the left was attacked by my fighters so if it will be switched it will have 8 effectivnes. I will attack again next turn.


Quiet in Serbia. Only small manuver to sorround Massinas left flank.


Germans lounched another barrage- on Brest- Litovsk. It is preparation for next turn assault. When Brest will be captured I will have some more units to lounch offensive at Smolensk.


Russians push front line near Kovno. There is threat of their attack to free fortress from siege.

Attack near Verdun continues. This turn it goes not good for me. I've lost more then French. Maybe I'm not ready to make any offenisve moves without second arty.

In Serbia AH push forward. I've attacked Nis and last Serbians corps. There is six turns (or eight) untill Italy enter war but I hope that I will need three or four turns to finish in this sector..


Brest-Litovsk captured. Now I can move my force and create Army Center. I feel tht I haven't enough force with AH to brake front line. If so I'll stay at defence possitions and push only to Smolensk-Gomel-Vitebsk


Russian start counterattack near Kovno. Germans answer with one corps destroyed and now russian arty is in danger.

I've stoped attack near Verdun. Without second arty I\m unable to do anything. After destroying Kovno I'll se if I;ll need second arty at eastern front. If not I'll send it to France. I am ready for French attack- I hope...


In Serbia it looks that my enemy is defeated. Niss is cut off and now I'll push untill the end. If I'll be able to prevent Serbians from building trench I'll not need arty.


In Russia I've made a hole in russians line. Now I'll be able to free some unit and push to Smolensk


Some actions at Riga. Russians withdrawn their arty and now I'm waiting for my own to attack Kovno.

Quiet. Massina sent British arty to Rouen. There is going to be an attack soon.


In Russia near Riga I've lost my Cavalry unit. Arty is ready and next turn I'lll start an assault on Kovno.


My Army Center is going to regroup and push to Smolensk- Gomel


In Serbia tjhere is french garrison in Tirana. Looks like Massina is doing what he want at the MedSea... and he can- after I've lost my AH battlships I can't say nothing.

15 APR 1915

I have scouted British possitions in France. Still there is no second line. I wander what Massina will do. There is only single line but with some luck I'll be able to stop any offesive. There is a force concentration betwen Paris and Verdun- I think that will be the place of battle. I suspect attack freom two british corps and one french (betwen them) wit two arty units. If so my befenc plan can work. We will see soon.


Near Kovno Germans had to retreat. I will defend my possitions until I capture fortress. Army group Center will stretch front line towards Gomel.


Army group South had another fighting turn. I will have to regroup befor assaulting Vinnytsia. Next turn I will take positions and repare units.


Rest of the fronts was quiet. Last preparation to take Skopje.

I was busy last days. Now I have some backlog in AAR. I will post pictures by fronts.


Battle for Ypres.
Those are initial possitions. I had seen arty is in place and I was thinking about putting barrage to the english corps to the right but I didn't done it. I was sure that I will survive with the corps below my arty... I was wrong.


Massina started his offensive. Barrage with two arty (french and english) allowed his infantry to destroy german corps and take my trench. French was also able to attack my arty. I decided to move back and take new positions- my plan didn't worked. Now I have to defend each line before second one build trench.


Calais will be taken by French this turn. I have to move back. Allies artylerry is to good for my ground units. Frome new position in Brussels my arty will have wide field of fire.


Allies push forward and took my last positions. Now I don't want to sit and wait and put barrage on french corps and made ground assault... and that was my mistake. I should have to attack corps to the left.


This turn Massina attack again and destryed german corps. This enabled him to attack Brussels arty. Only my brave Cavalry unit saved situation. Counterattack retook lost ground. We will see If this corps will survive... I have lounch series of attacks along the front line to help the corps near Brussels. I hope it will be enough. If not Brusells will become frontline city

Here is the situation on eastern front.
Kovno captured and southern part of the front is broken. Also in the center I can push easly.


The praparation for Riga capture. Artillery is in the place. But Russians have their arty too. Army group Center and South push forward.



It seems that massina have defence lin behind the river. Center and south will push forward. North part of the front will be defend against any counterattack.

Great job in the east; it was clear that Russia was your main target since the end of 1914. Now if you can stabilize the western front, you will be in good position to win this game.

Yes. I think that Russia is the weakest from Allied... or at last there is a bigest chance to make progres. In France soner or later you have to stop and start trench war. If Entente is carefull CP can't take Paris. Attacking ij trench only drain man power.
Russia will be alive until '16 if I'm correct (revolution begine no matter what in 16, no sooner) so rest of this year will be dificult in France (now Belgium). If Massina invest in ammo it will be even harder. If I will be unable to build trench I can lose this front.
If I will be able tooday I will post Ottoman's front. There are some changes...

And here is the Ottoman's front line. English forces are comeing towards my possitions. I will try to use my cavalry unit to strike frome the flank.


Looks like Massina is trying to flank my trench line.


And Ottoman's offensive started. I've cut off two English corps and now I can easly destroy them.


British firces in this sector have real trouble now. It can save me from loosing in France. If I will be able to bring here Allies attention there will be less British units in France.


Looks like British are gone. they will set defence possitions at Sues Cannal.

8 JUL 1915

Another turn of retreat. I fear that Allies can brake my line or at last kill my exposed units (three directions to attack frome). Maybe I will have to reform my line to make streight line with Massina's weak point north -east from Verdun. Then Strassburg become front line City. This is the only way to stop him frome killing my units.


In Russia IU've bombarded Riga and lounch small ground assault. I think that Russians have line to Smolensk. I have to do something to secure Minsk. Counterattack there can crush me and change ewerything at eastern front. Center and South is slowly occupied by AH and small German force. Only few cities have garrisons. (I didn't take picture- sorry)


I have founded British near Cannal. My cavalry unit went south to cut garrisons at the map edge. My infantry baypas Jerusalem when I wanted them to move far in pursuit. My reserves can fix this. I think British will stop me. Without arty I will have troubles to brake line. I hope that Allies suffer enough until Bulgarians enter war.

Western front try to hold. Germans lounch counter attack from Brussels to prevent next turn attack. I was forced to use poison gas first so it isn't good for my diplomacy. I'm prepareing second line at Liege in case cut of possibility. If there will be going something wrong I will witchdraw to this line, but it looks like Allies want to attack betwen Brussels and Antwerp.


In Italy I will try to make some feeling that I'm able to do something big. And maybe I can do something.


Northern Russia without hanges axcept AH train that return to Minsk.


Center and South still push forward. I will try to take what I can and Center will join North.



British force lounched small counterattack but my rear forces was able to do some damage too (Betwen Gaza and Ismailia). If I'm correct my cavalry unit cut of at last one garrison. Now I have to find it and destroy.

British and French arty is well positioned so I've decided to withdraw onec more. This tme I have to stop and defend. I'm running out of place to withdraw. And I haven't prepered trench.


In Italy I keep pushing. I know that I can't do much here but I'll try what I can do. I think this turn my infantry corps will be destroyed in counterattack.


At Riga Russians attack my possitions with arty support. I've made counteraction. If there will be a chance I'll try to destroy Corps next turn. But maybe I'll be quiet. My ammo is getting low and the western Allies are pushing... There is no Fleet at Riga port. Are they disbanded?


Center and south of Russia stand with little resistace. I don't see a need of any big actions. Only city capturing. If Massina disbanded battleships there is enough at this time to force Russia to surrender at the start of '16 (I hope so).


Finally British are at their final possitions. If they will dig in I will be unable to brake them.
