Panzer Corps v1.20 update

Panzer Corps Wehrmacht has been updated to version 1.20. The v1.20 update adds new improvements in the gameplay (Class-specific experience effects, forcing enemy units to surrender earns you prestige,etc.) and new units, like the Sherman Crab, T28 Super Heavy and many more! It contains also new modding options, bug fixing and German and Russian localizations of the Library. The patch is compatible with the original game and Afrika Korps.

v1.20 – June 6th, 2013

• Changes

o Option to save and watch game replays
o Option to change difficulty between scenarios in a campaign
o The game now shows scenario name, difficulty and victory conditions in Messages window.
o Advanced options tab for new game. Custom difficulty settings (player/AI prestige/experience/strength modifiers, turn count modifier, AI level setting), Reform units option, Normal/limited/none randomness in combat option
o "Show All Nations" option in Purchase screen (to view and compare stats of units belonging to different nations)


• Gameplay

o Prestige soft cap
o Class-specific experience effects
o Forcing enemy units to surrender earns you prestige
o Overstrength is progressively more expensive with every point applied
o Initiative heroes are limited to +1 bonus
o Entrenchment gives 2x defense bonus against ranged attacks
o Close terrain now gives +4 defense bonus to ground units vs. fighter and tactical bomber attack
o Overstrength is lost after upgrade
o Replacements come suppressed
o Train transportation takes 2 turns instead of 3
o Old rules (as in 1.14) available via UI option on advanced options tab

What's up with the bunch of german units ? Those aren't exactly new !?

I've made it clearer but these are captured version of these tanks, under Allied control with Allied camo patterns.

Are the above listed new Units only for AlliedCorps, or for PanzerCorps and/or the DLC´s too?

The new units belong to the new equipment list. So you can use them if you play from the Allied side, although the old campaigns and scenarios will not use them.

One question. The new allied infantry units seem to no "land" transport trait? Was there a change or why is that? how does the game determine which transport they can use? Or does allied corps use another version of the equipment file that wasn't part of the patch?

Okay, it means, when I play the DLC´s and not AlliedCorps with Patch v1.20, I don´t need the new Units and I can play the DLC´s furthermore with my own modded Equipment-File based on Patch 1.14 (or earlier), right?

Does the 1.20 update require any previous updates? Or can it be run on 1.00 ?

Also, if we install the 1.20 update on Panzer Corps, and then buy Afrika Corps later, will we need to re-run the 1.20 update on Allied Corps, and if so, will that affect Panzer Corps?

1.20 is a comprehensive patch, so no need to install any previous patch.
Regarding your second issue, probably you don't need to reinstall the patch again. But, I have seen corrupted installations that have required the full installation of the game again.

I'm happy that the 1.14 rules can be used too. :)
One question: how can be the EXP file set to use also the earlier xp developing system? What values should be set?
Oh and what new modding options are there? (Besides some "sovietization" of several new unit icons. :wink: )

The replay option is simply a fantastic option!! :D
Maybe the moving of the units could be little slowed down but that's all.

Thanks for adding the torpedo biplane Swordfish Mk.I. I hope you will also add the Blackburn B-24 Skua to complete Britain's Fleet Air Arm. Both planes operated from British air craft carriers early in the war.

Could you please explain how to use the new option 'Hex Action' in the game editor?
For those who are less familiar with the game editor, you can find this new option by clicking on the menu 'Edit' -> 'Scenario Params...' -> tab 'Scripts' -> click on Add -> select 'Add Hex Action'.

У меня такой вопрос, патчи надо ставить поочередно или он Патч кумулятивный и содержит исправления и дополнения всех прежних патчей !?

At me such question, patches should be put serially or it the Patch cumulative and contains corrections and additions of all former patches!?

We tend to use cumulative patches to avoid support issues. You only ever need to download the latest patch to be fully updated.

Has simply confused the size they went on increasing, and here last 1.20 is most less on the size)

Hello uzbek2012, this choice is only important if you have a computer that has multiple accounts (users) with separate login for every user. The first option is to make the game only visible to the current user account.
The second option is to make available the game to all the different user accounts on your computer, so they can see the game and initiate it as well.

The choice is firstly: to make game on your computer visible to you only.
The choice, secondly: to share access to the game for every user on your computer.
