FOG N at Cancon

Post by richafricanus »

I'm wondering whether it would be worthwhile trying to run FOG N at Cancon in 2014. How many of you NZ folk would come across? Would be good to get some cross-pond pollination.

Well I have travelled 3 times now to Cancon playing Flames so I could be a possibility. I have yet to play a game of FOGN however, but I can announce I am solidly into painting my new (and 1st) FOGN army.

I'ld love to, but family dependent - probably a 25% chance of attendance for me.

Don't let Keith come.

He'll beat everyone and take away all the prizes! :)

yes but we can set him on the Aussies leaving us others to sneak up in the later rounds. At least that's how it works for me with FOW.

Good luck getting the numbers... Best bet is Melbourne where it seems more popular, Sydney is a dead zone . I tried running a comp at Sydneys MOAB and got 3 entries ( 2 from Melb). With Napoleon at War likely to be re-offered at Cancon(had 12 this year) I question whether there is enuff interest in Oz.

I think there are plenty of Naps players around... just not many who want to play in competitions..but happy to be proven otherwise...

We've found historical and pick up attract plenty of interest. The "competition" nature is not traditionally a napoloenic player thing.

Sounds like NZ too many different viewpoints on rules, styles, etc and only the normal small world og gamers who actually attend events :?
