Welcome to the 1st BA2 Skirmish Tournament.
Tournament format:
All games are played using MP Skirmishes. Most of the settings will be set to default.
You will be assigned to a group (number of groups depending on number of players interested) and will play everyone in the group twice.
Challenge construction:
A player chooses which two army lists to use (Filter Army List is “On”) and what terrain to use, then proposes a challenge to another player in the group. The challenged opponent replies by choosing which army to play and creating the challenge on the MP server. Again, every player will challenge every other group opponent once and will be challenged by every opponent within the same group. Challenges (incl. password) is posted in this thread and sent as a PM to your opponent.
Here's a screen showing how to set up a Skirmish battle:
Example how a challenge and game is set up:
1. The challenger (in this example Cavehobbit) post a challenge in this forum thread and as PM to the player being challenge (in this example Jcb989).
2. Jcb989 then set up a Skirmish game according to the screen above, choosing whether he's going to play the Soviet of the Germans. He then sends the password to Cavehobbit.Jcb989, I challenge you:
Sov. Tank Divison 41 vs Ger. Mech Corps 41, Wilderness
3. Cavehobbit accepts the game in the MP lobby and the carnage can begin.
Recording results:
All results will be recorded in a shared Google spreadsheet. The results shall also be posted in this forum thread. When posting in the forum you must tell who won and how many flags both sides held at the end.
Please report like this:
PlayerA (Army list) [flags] won vs PlayerB (Army list) [flags]
<optional write up describing battle>
Record your results here
iPad users need the Google Sheets app, but it's free and no Google account is needed.
How to record results:
You will only record results in the row with your nick to the left. The spreadsheet is divided in an upper right section and a lower left section. In the upper right section you record your results in the top row, and in the lower left section in the bottom row. You are responsible for recording results of games where you are the challenger, not the one setting up the game. In the left box you record your number of flags and in the right your opponents.
I admit, not the best system, but it will do for now. If you have any problems record your score, just tell me and I'll do my best to help.
Morge4's spreadsheet for record games. Google Spreadsheet online.
The two sheets are templates, click on the tab and duplicate, then rename with your nick. There are drop-down menus in some of the cells.

The two sheets are templates, click on the tab and duplicate, then rename with your nick. There are no drop-down menus, but I've added Army lists etc so you can use copy/paste.
I hope we can end this tournament in the end of June.
