If Cromwell isn't able to participate by Sunday then I suggest we tale up Awesum4's offer to fill in. To avoid the problem of such overlong turns in future I suggest we have strict deadlines for responses and if someone can't respond in time, their team agrees a substitute from their ranks to double up and cover that player's games for that turn.

I agree. A4 does not muck about and gets through games quickly, those of you involved with CIII will know.

Gentlemen,
I understand the frustration of players who have been waiting for the last two games to be completed so that the campaign can move forward. I am frustrated because, although Aryaman has posted a password in this forum, I cannot find his challenge when I go to Multiplayer in P&S. I need to know which region I am fighting in and, more importantly, which Parliamentary Army I can choose in order to issue a challenge to Aryaman. I posted a query to Arayman yesterday but have not received any reply so far.
If someone can tell me where I can find Aryaman's challenge and which army each of us can use I undertake to fight the battles very quickly.
I love you all in a dour fashion.

I have now discovered which armies I can choose and posted a challenge to Aryaman in Multiplayer.
I still can't find Aryaman's challenge to me in Multiplayer. Am I looking in the wrong place?
All suggestions welcome.

Could it be that the challenge has been posted in P&S Campaigns multiplayer?

Ok, I have accepted your challenge Cromwell, and posted mine in the Campaigns Pike & Shot, I had posted it previously in the normal Pike & Shot multiplayer and that was the reason you didn´t find it, now you should find it without problem, same password

Report from South West

Aryaman (2%) won vs Cromwell (44%) 42% difference

The Royalist forces took advantage in the right wing of the rugged terrain to delay the attack of the Parliamentarian force while massing on the left to rout the enemy. God save the King!

Report from Mid-West

Aryaman won (31%) vs Cromwell (59%) +28%

The rebels attacked uphill against our brave infantry, while trying to outflank us with their cavalry, but our cavaliers defeated the Rebel left wing while our infantry held his own.

Now, the last battle is over! we can go on to the next campaign season :)

Keyth you will need to ascertain those with the Campaigns upgrade, maybe just ask who has not upgraded ?

Also which Regions will be allowed the Parliament + Scots 1644 - 1646, Scots Royalist 1644 - 1645 armies ?

If at all possible, all games should be played with P&S rather than campaigns. I don't know about anyone else, but I play the majority of my games on iPad as I travel a lot.

I am humiliated to report that Aryaman has beaten me in both the games which we recently completed. I have retired to my home in Huntingdon to lick my wounds. However I hope that the campaign can now proceed.

You had a very tough introduction to have to fight Aryaman twice! Hopefully the next season will be more kind :)

Early 1645 Ready to Go!

Post by keyth »

At long last, we are ready to move into 1645. It's looking a bit bleak for us cheerful cavalier types; even the spaniels are a bit worried. I have put last season's results in the third post on this thread and listed the available armies for this turn. I have left iandavidsmith and Aryaman as Commanders-in-Chief unless they or anyone else objects! :)

The army list is pretty easy for the Royalists but can the Parliamentary orders include which list is being used in each case? Bonus points are also there for the spending. Enjoy!

Keyth,
Sorry but I'm not sure what is meant by "the third thread". Please let me know how to proceed with the next turn?
Thanks,

He means the third post on page 1 of this Great Rebellion thread. There you'll find the Late 1644 results ie battle outcomes, province updates, generals performance, and Keyth's schematic map with the latest holdings and home regions for players. This gets updated each turn. If you haven't looked already, the first post on that page has the rules for the campaign.

The other thread to refer to is the private one for Parliamentarians (the Royalists have their own). To access this go to Pike and Shot tournaments and leagues (in the top section of threads for P and S) and provided you are logged on, you will see the Great Rebellion - Parliament thread where your side discuss move proposals.

Many thanks for this info - exactly what I needed. I think all players joining the GR campaign should be provided with this infor upon joining.
