I still like CEAW as a favourite. Still has a few flaws but still challenging.

I know this is not what you meant, but Gary Grigsby's War In The East was new to me in 2014. Does that Count?
Massive game that I fully expect to last me years. It's a lot to learn but I've found that games that you learn quickly tend not to be very enduring. I can fully recommend it to anyone who likes HUGE hex war games. And have patience.
In a burst of over confidence I also bought War In The West as it was on sale and Slitherine gave me an extra 21% discount. Nice one Slitherine! Too good to miss.
I have to mention the sad loss of David Bowie, he was a genuine talent.

The best for me it's probabily Commander: Modern Air/Naval Operation (C:MANO). September 2014. It's a Worth successor of Harpoon. If you like modern naval warfare, it's a must.
Also War in the West and Operaton Torch expansion (late 2014 and mid 2015). I am not a big fan of Western Front but it's a very good wargame. The expansion offers some Norther Africa scenarios, very interesting.
Bye.

I've spent a large portion of recent months on Civ 4 (yeah, I realise it's old and not Slitherine-made).
Other than that Order of Battle. For some reason I still haven't finished the US campaign yet (maybe because there is another, more distracting one)

Undoubtedly Order of Battle: Pacific for me. As I've already written some time ago Aritstocrat's work should be taken as an example for most of wargamer dev studios in my opinion.

What came out in 2015? I have so many games I can't keep up with when they were released.
Re: Favorite Wargame 2015 ?
I definitely didn't play many new games this year, but the one that stood out for me was Churchill

Let's see.DonCzirr wrote:And Why?
Late 2014:
Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon - I finished the original campaign. Enjoyed It at first, got bored in the end. (Campaign starts as really challenging, then you get spacemarine equipment and the challenge ends)
Ultimate General: Gettysburg - Great game. Finished the campaign for both sides and got historical results. Good AI, great variety of strategical and tactical decisions.
2015:
Pike and Shot: Campaigns - Great wargame. Really good AI, many historical scenarios and Campaigns. Now I'm playing Great Turkish War Campaign as Ottomans - so much fun.
Ravenmark: Scourge of Estellion - good fantasy wargame. WeGo rules. Interesting story.
Spirit of War - nice little WWI wargame. Nothing special.
Warhammer Quest - TBS fantasy warhammer. Dungeons, monsters, nothing special.
Invisible, Inc. - very good, really challenging TBS. Cyberpunk style.
So, favorite - Ultimate General: Gettysburg OR Pike and Shot: Campaigns.
Make love, not war.

Churchill- cool game, but it is not a wargame. three player excursion into power politics: a political conflict of cooperation and competition.
Re: Favorite Wargame 2015 ?
So far - (guess 2016 could be considered now too):
Commander: Modern Air/Naval Operation (C:MANO) - even a Modern Warfare novice (like me) can pick this up and have fun with it - but is challenging enough to be very interesting and educational.
Pike and Shot - The whole feel of the game is great. I slow the animations down to the slowest levels and enjoy the atmosphere. I love trying to plan a strategy where I must also factor in blood thirsty commanders who will ignore / disobey orders - forcing me to counter and attempt to leverage such situations in a dynamic way ....

Good games there ...
