Hi mkoki77

I had idea could mix in with yours, after we finish this tournament how about a tournament using any balanced map from Panzer Corps, Allied Corps, Afrika Korps and Soviet Corps. Each player choose 1 map. We play each player on the map they choose, example if goose chooses summer offensive and I choose zig zag we play paired game on each those maps against each other.

Each map you get 0 points for defeat 1 point for minor win 2 points for major win.

Top 3 players go through to play each other on second map each player chooses. If points are even between them, they play group choice map against each other see who wins.

Should be interesting tournament.

What do people think?

Congrats to Rag who won both games, I hate dice rolls.

Watching a messerschmitt do 3 damage to a KV of yours, then watching your stukas do no damage is so funny.

That not point was really close and fun game, Rag deserved it as he put hard work in and lady luck was on his side.

You played well and fair all way through was great to play good luck in rest of your games.

Yep, great match, you almost got me with the Russian offensive and I think we both learned, that the Russian fighters are no good. Both our Migs even failed to take on Stukas. In my game against mkoki77 I learned that German Fallschirmjäger get shipped without planes. So do not try mass Paras ;) But still very fun game and a great fight, where I whittled down the Russians. They have almost no units left, but I am just a little too slow, to reach the final two cities.

OK I have received the official word from Mkoki on the results of his 2 showdowns.

Based on the feedback and ideas posted the scoring of each match up will be the following.
Triumph = 4 points
Minor Victory = 3 Points
Minor Loss = 2 Points
Major Loss = 1 Point

So everyone gets points. :) (Remember I am from America where they pass out trophies for participation :? :roll: :oops: )

So based on that this is the standings as of ROUND 1 results
Goose = 16 points (4 triumphs in each match up) :twisted:
Mkoki = 13 points (1 Triumph 3 minor Victories)
RAG116 = 12 points (2 Triumphs 2 minor losses)
Braccada = 10 points (1Triumph 1 Minor Victory 1 Minor Loss 1 Major Loss)
TopGun = 5 points (1 Minor Loss 3 Major Losses)
Stephen = 4 points (4 Major Losses) :oops:

I tried to set up 2nd round matches based on the standings after Round 1 and to make sure that we are all fighting somebody new, based on that here are the 2nd round matches:
The Second battle shall be:
Ruingrad: paired game undo off
Goose_2 vs: Mkoki
Mkoki vs: Stephen1024
Stephen1024 vs: TopGun
TopGun vs: RAG116
RAG116 vs: Bracadda
Bracadda vs: Goose_2

Password should be set as:
comrade

I will set up my matches when I get off work but wanted to post this as soon as I got the word.

Game on competitors

I am enjoying this immensely.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Great to hear General TopGun.

Thanks for the report.

I am halfway through my match up with Braccada and about 1/4th of the way through my match up with Mkoki.

I have found it gets really tough for the Germans. :oops:

I look forward to hearing more from the rest of the General's and hope that Stephen has not gone AWOL.

That seems to happen on these multiplayer games, sometimes. :roll:

I am hoping we have this wrapped up by Thursday, July 14th, so I can post the next round of match ups by Monday July 18th.

Let me know how the other match ups are going.

I am pleased to report General TopGun and General RAG116 have confirmed that they both have a minor victory under their belts at Ruingrad with the Axis.

I would have loved to see that battle as it proved just the opposite with my battle versus Braccada.

I ended up wiping out Braccada's entire German army by turn 15 so Major Victory. :twisted:

He ended up taking all but one objective with his Soviet side. Those KV-1C's were just unstoppable.

Still no word from Stephen, so once we reach the deadline Mkoki and TopGun will automatically get 8 points (2 Major Victory's)

Not bad, but I would still rather be playing.

I am looking forward to the rest of the reports coming in.

Once my brother saw some kid get an award for finally remembering to do the right thing after half a year!, while no award was given out for anyone doing the right thing every day of that half year.

Reporting major victory and minor loss against against Rag. I really thought I had the Russians down after destroying some of those heavy tanks, but they simply kept coming... great game and great comback!

Thanks for the report General Braccada.

That leaves Mkoki and I to wrap up. I think we will need a little longer, than this Thursday, as it has about 7 days left.

If you can believe it both of us are doing better with the Germans in our match and based on the feedback from the other players it sure sounds like the balance for this match is pretty nicely set.

A very fun sandbox.

Like I said Mkoki and I are still slugging it out, but based on there now only being 5 players left we will have to alternate who we play every round and limits my shuffling.

So I am not ready to post the results/points after Round 2 as Mkoki and I are in the thick of it, but I could post the Round 3 matches.

Would you like me to post next round or wait until Round 2 is finished?

Let me know.

Round 2 finished
We both finished with a minor Victory for the Axis.
Such an epic back and forth battle. It was pretty crazy and good hard fight for both of us.

So after Round 2 the Points come out to:
Goose = 27pts
1 Major Victory (4) 1 Minor Loss (2) against Braccada; 1 Minor Victory (3) 1 Minor Loss (2) against Mkoki
Mkoki = 26 pts
2 Major Victorys against Stephen (8); 1 Minor Victory (3) 1 Minor Loss (2) against Goose
RAG116 = 21 pts
1 Minor Victory (3) 1 Minor Loss (2) against Topgun; 1 Minor Victory (3) 1 Major Loss (1) against Braccada
Braccada = 20 pts
1 Major Victory (4) 1 Minor Loss (2) against RAG116; 1 Minor Victory (3) 1 Major Loss (1) against Goose
TopGun = 18pts
2 Major Victorys against Stephen (8); 1 Minor Victory (3) 1 Minor Loss (2) against RAG116
Stephen = AWOL

So based on this I am going to get the hardest and most challenging Multiplayer map out of the way as the next 2 (Zig Zag and frontline Duty) are as close to a chess match as I think can be created with this game.

So that means Last Man Standing is our 3rd Round match up. (Paired game Undo Off)
Goose_2 vs RAG116
RAG116 vs Mkoki
Mkoki vs Braccada
Braccada vs TopGun
TopGun vs Goose_2

The way this scenario works, at least in playtesting, is that you either wipe your opponent completely out, or it is a draw. So do not surrender if you feel you are losing. You just need 1 unit to survive to at least get a draw out of the game.
So because of that 4 points for anyone who wipes out the other opponent.
2 Points for a Draw
and 1 point if you get wiped out.

So go big or go home.

I am at work so my opponents can set them up so I can join when I get home.

comrade

Let's keep the excitement going and since this is a longer scenario let's try to have this done by September 1st at the latest.

As my Russian Comrades would say:

Hi , i am going to my summer vacation with my family and i will be possibly out of game (depending on internet in Greece :)) till 4th August. My hosts promise me good connection so i will try to play my moves during nights.

btw i think it would be fair if you count all games against Stephan as major victories (just suggestion).
