Awesome. Panthers, Elefants, Nebelwerfers. *sings* Mighty tanks, cannons on wings, these are a few of my favourite things *sings* :mrgreen: (Sound of Music reference)
Just please take your time. Dont f*ck this up. Please.
I will gladly pay a few bucks more if I dont have to endure another Kriegsmarine. Seriously. :?

Great. Looks like I can finally add more 42-43 scenarios to my Blitzkrieg project.
Will the Soviets also get the heavy metal treatment?

I'm glad the most likely better selling setting got more priority although every nation is welcome as addition ofc.
Hummel, Wespe, Pz.38, Panther D, Nashorn, Ferdinand, and two Wurfrahmen 40 to complete the list of the shown units. The Soviet wrecks could be a SU-85 while the other a T-34 mod 42/43.

Pz.38 - I agree but I'm surprised, because there is a part of battle of Kursk (probably surroundings of Ponyri, north of Kursk, because of the Ferdinands presence) and there weren't single Pz.38
I think that Pz. II L Luchs would be better.

Don't read too much into this, it's just the Mlawa map from Blitzkrieg with some of the new unit models added for testing purposes ;)

I bet the Panther D gets the unreliable trait which makes it totally mew on the offense by the constant effi drops, but that's historically justified.

What's still on my wish-list until end of 1943:
- SdKfz 251/16 (flamer)
- SdKfz 233 (7.5 cm)
- SdKfz 234/2 Puma
- Pz.2 F and L as recon
- Pz.1F & Pz.2J as heavily armored tank uprades
- all Marder variants
- StuIG 33B and StuPz Brummbär as upgrade for the squishy StuPz.1. No effective offense without these SPGs!
- the whole Nebelwerfer family plus Panzerwerfer 42
- most importantly the Gerät 040 and Schwerer Gustav as super-heavy siege toys for Sevastopol
- Ju 87G tank-buster may not miss of course either, but the
- Hs 129 as tank-buster should also be available in '42
- He 177 as only effective German large strat-bomber shouldn't be missed either

Soviet candidates
- BA-64
- T-60 and T-70
- T-34/43 and maybe 57
- OT-34 flamer
- KV-1C with its heaviest armor
- KV-85
- SU-122/152
- Yak-9

No T-34-85 and IS-2 tanks on the front in 43 yet, but the Soviet doom machines will come for sure! (T-34-85 is already in the game due Winter War, btw)
Let's see what still shown later as previews.

I'm sure the Battle of Kursk is still in the works given the DLCs name and unit preview. Wondering if it will be exclusively player Wehrmacht vs. AI Red Army. Hope to take part in the beta for this one.

With such heavy armor, it looks like it's the battle of Kursk
I am sure it will be fun smashing the soviets with these new toys

@adherbal: See, that is market potential. Everybody wants to plow through Russia with the iconic tanks of WW2.

With Panthers around, Kursk is a possibility, but not a given. I mean, Blitzkrieg had Panzer IV Gs and Stug F and so on, but never used them in the campaign (yet).
What I am hoping for is that they now take a more detailed, slower approach both in time progression in the campaign and in development time. I mean, you can split up battles like Demyansk pocket easily in two to three shorter missions on the same map.
Also, would love to see the possibility to switch my planes (Me 109s, FW 190s and the Stuka) with different gun sets to different roles (Ruestsatz), from dogfighter to heavy fighter to ground attack to tank buster (Ju87D to G, for example). I mean, the game mechanic is already there with bombs to torpedoes.

Maybe Volkskrieg is the title of the new campaign?

This appears in the faction list.

[GERMANY]
id = 11
theme = germany
//skirmishPlayer = blitzkrieg, volkskrieg, kriegsmarine

[USSR]
id = 4
theme = ussr
//skirmishAI = winterwar, blitzkrieg, volkskrieg

@ Erik: Nice find.

Volkskrieg sounds, uhm, folksy. :mrgreen:

(Even though Volkskrieg means "People's War", which was the doctrine of the PLA during the Mao era. But who cares as long as its good.)
