Works in progress
Hi folks, I thought I would start a list of scenarios that are being made or are intended to be made. I'll add mine at least to hopefully avoid any duplication of effort.
If you are working through the battles of a particular period that would also be useful to know. I'm not. I'm just picking random battles that haven't yet been made.
Battle of Jankau (1645)
Battle of Fehrbellin (1675)
Cheers,
Chris

Re: Works in progress
I'm currently working on;
Lesnaya 1708
This has been taking quite a long time, it is a very complex battle. I am also going to offer it as three different versions, Swedish and Russian single player, and multi player, which makes the process even longer. I seem to have finished the Swedish one, but converting it to the Russian player has been difficult. I have converted several scenarios before, but never one that includes reinforcements, on the first play test of the Russian scenario all the Swedish reinforcements came in on the Russian side! So I had to completely redo the reinforcements from scratch.
After Lesnaya I will continue with the rest of The Great Northern War.

Re: Works in progress
Waterloo 1815, with a great deal of help from RBS, to be followed by Bannockburn 1314. I can't imagine that anyone's planning to duplicate those, but just in case.

Would love it if you could eventually add "Lobositz" to the group.edward77 wrote:Ok, I`ll join in. Currently testing Kolin and Leuthen, both 1757 along with Soor 1745 and Minden 1759.

Re: Works in progress
Since Bannockburn was reasonably well-received, I'm going to work on Falkirk, 1298 AD. It's a bit like Bannockburn without the Bannock! Slitherine have agreed that I can use the yari models from the companion SJ game, provided that they're completely modified, so you will see that 'spear' appearance, rather than those rather blocky-looking massed pikes we normally use.
Re: Works in progress
I'm working on a secret project. Very sure it won't be duplicated.

Are you sure about that?!jomni wrote:I'm working on a secret project. Very sure it won't be duplicated.
I hope it is not the same as my secret project!

Re: Works in progress
Just FYIs I'm working on a major update of my earlier Alcazarquivir 1578 AD scenario: I don't like V2s (second versions, not the WWII rockets) in principle, but have found out so much more about the OOBs, and about how to modify units and terrain, that I think - hope - it's justified.

You can use any of the Portuguese graphics in my Extra Nations Campaign mod if it would help you. I think many of the flags that I used were from the period of that battle.

Re: Works in progress
Cheers Paul, that's very helpful. At least the flags will be accurate!
Re: Works in progress
AlcazarquivirV2's in playtesting now, no doubt throw up some problems. As First Bull Run seems to have been reasonably well-received may as well throw caution to the winds and have a crack at Gettysburg - The Third Day. I'll try the whole thing at brigade level, have to include 'Pickett's Charge' and like to have JEB Stuart's cavalry corps attempted flank attack around the Union right. As this was some two miles east of the main battle I may use fogman's idea of a line of unplayable squares to simulate the distance, with gaps at both ends in case either cavalry corps succeed in turning the other's flank, or wish to withdraw back to their main lines from the start. Pretty detailed terrain and OOBs freely available, but it's another big old boy. In view of the amount of guns I'll probably have to use the Waterloo device of having modded regimental guns (RGs) simulating the brigade level artillery.

Re: Works in progress
Looks great! The units, rocky terrain and fence graphics are very well done.
Thanks also for the Vitoria scenario. Haven't played it yet, looks impressive!
Glad that you're not totaly absorbed by FOG2.
