Re: Guille's PzCorps Support Base - Multipurpose Icons and m
So, I made a special template, simulating that extra-armor kit, which should adapt to any vanilla T-34 icon (or derivatives), but I would recommend to delete the external fuel tanks from the far side of the hull before applying the template. Also I made a customized icon (without any external fuel tanks or stowage boxes) to be used with the template. I knew about the Germans making such up-armor and modification work on captured T-34 tanks, but never saw such work made by the Soviets. It was that, or a re-captured modified tank from the Germans? One way or the other, it looks nice!!
I hope you enjoy using this, as much as I enjoyed making this little icon.

Re: Guille's PzCorps Support Base - Multipurpose Icons and m
Hello all
I'm taking the risk to ask a more general modding question in this thread since it's quite active and people looks like they're willing to interact. I'm wondering if there is an actual limit to the number of units you can add to the game, I'm asking because I'm planning to add a lot (for my custom gameplay) I'm grabbing stuff already made by various members but I'm also trying to «merge» existing things. I really appreciated the fact that the SS insignia was integrated into some units in the soviet storm mod, what I planned is to add divisional insignias for the most common Waffen-SS units and some named Heer divisions, GD, HG and Lehr. I would like to post a sample of my work but I don't know how in this forum. Knowing if there is a unit cap will help me quite a lot to focus my work.
Regards

Here is the 5 cm Pak 38 auf Sdkfz.10, of which I had released just the big unit. Now you have here the complete icon pack. Enjoy!

Yes, indeed in April-May 1943, about 40+ tanks were built with additional armor.
But since there were new German tanks, this did not have any special effect.

Fantastic units Guille!.
I love those T-34 skirts, I will search about recaptured tanks used by the Soviets.
And the 5 cm Pak 38 auf Sdkfz.10 is another piece of work indeed, do you have some production numbers of this specific unit?, I couldnt find any.
Thanks again for all your efforts.
Saludos!.

Re: Guille's PzCorps Support Base - Multipurpose Icons and m
Thanks guys for the info and nice words...
Akkula: Yes, the profile of the "skirted" T-34 looked so good to me that I had to make an icon (and template) for it... Intenso said that those were, indeed, made by the Soviets, but only in short number (aprox. 40), so they were not tanks modified by the Germans and re-captured. He is very well informed in Soviet affairs, so I give him credit...
About the 5 cm Pak on Sdkfz 10, my main reference on German AFVs, the Book "Encyclopedia of German Tanks of WW2" by Peter Chamberlain and Hilary Doyle, does not mention the numbers made of this conversion vehicle, but only suggests that they were "a few" and they were issued to SS units... I couldn't find any other source of information about the matter.
Intenso: Thanks, again, for the hard data about those up-armored T-34. Do you know if they had a special designation? I know Soviets sometimes did not bother to give special designations to new or modified versions of their equipment.
Greetings!

Officially I do not know that there was any name.guille1434 wrote:Do you know if they had a special designation? I know Soviets sometimes did not bother to give special designations to new or modified versions of their equipment.
But somewhere there is a designation T-34Э (экранированный, screened).
It is possible to write T-34E, but this is not the same model as the German classification in Wiki "Later production variants had a new commander's cupola. This variant was referred to as T-34 / 76E by the Germans."
Moreover, there were other modifications to the additional armor in 41-42 years.
It was extra armor to the tower and hull. On some tanks it was only a tower, on some in hull only. Probably the total number of such tanks can be specified as about 200 pieces.
Here are some variants. Although not all of them are 100% accurate.

By the way, on this site you can find a huge number of detailed models.
For example PAK-36(r).
Or her icon is already there?

Re: Guille's PzCorps Support Base - Multipurpose Icons and m
It is the first time when I saw this panzer in small-scale model in a hypermarket this day :
This average tank was designed by Germany during 1930s and called Neubau-Fahrzeug (new construction of vehicle), a way, diverted not to cross the limits of the treaty of Versailles. Only five prototypes were assembled, among which three spread in Oslo during the invasion of Norway in 1940.

Hello all
I was wondering if by any chance someone would have masks for the Semovente 75-18, 75-32 and 105-25 all off them in AT position ?
I would like to add them with some new camo as captured units to my german roster for campaign in Italy 1943-44
Regards

Hello Guille,
I was wondering if you have an icon of your 1943 Fallschirmjager unit in SE camo or SS camo?
Regards and thank you in advance for your help,

Re: Guille's PzCorps Support Base - Multipurpose Icons and m
I have made this icon of an Sdkfz 263. Maybe it's useful for someone out there. Also wondering if there is anyone who can make a mask for it. Mask making is still something I don't really understand...
