Nobody said any such thing There are historical maps, units and campaigns.kondi754 wrote:I hope someone from Wargamer misunderstood someone from Slitherine when it comes to the ahistoric character of the future game.
If the game will not be played on historical maps and there will be no historical battles and campaigns, I will not buy this game for sure.

I am very happy about this.
Thanks for clarification

now it starts.
PG3d revived .
At what point do you realise turn based fans are not interested in graphics
Gameplay is what keeps the interest alive .
I do like your approach to marketing though ,
refuse to release anything to the fans , let one of them stumble across another site which had information , all the while denying you could possibly divulge anything
And still not releasing information to the heart and soul of your game . the fans.

Does wargamer pay for the game ?
or is it the community who reach into their pockets to fund you ,
cant be the community because you treat them like (removed)

Re: Wargamer PzC 2 first screenshots
Which is the original? Panzer Corps? Panzer General 2? Panzer General 1? World war 2 itself maybe even!

It all looks great and promising! I have one concern though and that's multiplayer going to be live. I like the current system and its great if you have a busy life.

The plan is to support the current PBEM++ system but we may be able to do more as well if all goes to plan.

As I think Panzer Corps and all of it's DLC's are great, I'll sure be looking forward to this new edition. Unlike some other game makers, these people really pay attention to detail and historical accuracy. I'll be patiently waiting for this one as I know it will be great!

Was not following active discussion last half year in this forums. Was really waiting for some first screenshots.
Unreal engine is one of my favorite engines. Only a few managed to design good TBS games with it with a smooth interface.
From what I see in the pictures I'm more then positive surprised and wish you all good luck and I'm looking forward to something playable!

Re: Wargamer PzC 2 first screenshots
Yup. We want big huge shadows everywhere. We don't want to know what hexes are where and what the terrain types are. We do want a sense of 3D depth that is then rendered completely goofy by the scaling issues (it matters a lot more in 3D that tanks are the size of airports or battleships).fuselex wrote:now it starts. Yeah they don't realize that.fuselex wrote:At what point do you realise turn based fans are not interested in graphics

I find the "don't judge! It's just an alpha!" stuff to be hilarious. For years they've told us they won't release anything until it looks good so people don't judge it based on the alphas, now suddenly they do? In that case why weren't they releasing screenshots the whole time? Also, if they want to control the narrative, why didn't they give a proper interview to explain stuff like how the new mechanics work or the map generation?fuselex wrote:I do like your approach to marketing though, refuse to release anything to the fans , let one of them stumble across another site which had information , all the while denying you could possibly divulge anything
Re: Wargamer PzC 2 first screenshots
I think the coloring of the terrain in that Unity screenshots is clearly superior, but it's obvious the Panzer Corps 2 units are also far superior.
