Bloody good job too! There is no point doing all this organising if you cannot win something at the end of it. It was a very close final with shawkhan2 and I only prevailed because I was able to use the terrain to help my Greek army avoid defeat.
These are the prize winners for Season 1, which will be a voucher to use in the Slitherine store.
Classical Antiquity - klayeckles (Division A) 36 points and pbuck777 (Division E) 36 points
Late Antiquity - nyczar (Division C) 36 points and paulmcneil (Division D) 32 points
From Cyrus to Tigranes - ZygfrydDeLowe (Division C) 29 points and Breogan (Division A) 25 points
Classical Indian - Sennacherib (Division B) 41 points and ruskicanuk (Division A) 37 points
Themed Event winners - stockwellpete (Pool A) and Cunningcairn (Pool B)
Note: players can only win one prize, as requested by Slitherine. Therefore, in the Late Antiquity section, although Cunningcairn (Division B) and ZygfrydDeLowe (Division D) also scored 32 points they do not qualify for a prize in that section as they had already won prizes elsewhere. rexhurley has waived his prize in that section.
Anders will be working on the player ratings when he returns from holiday and he will be constructing a medal chart for the archive too.
The other job for me will be to provide the statistics. This is going to be quite a big job to provide both full player and full army statistics. I have made a start but it will probably be a week or so before I have them all available.
Key to table
This is very straightforward. The numbers after the army name represent wins - draws (or ties) - losses. The table takes no account of the skill levels of the players using the army, it just gives the playing record of each of the armies that have been used in the competition. Obviously the higher the numbers involved with a particular army then the more meaningful the figures become as the disparity in skill levels between the various users is evened out. You can see from this first batch of figures that the massed bow armies have done exceptionally well and they my be subject to adjustment when the next DLC is released.
great stuff...
one question...as things progress, the differnt digital leagues will create a whole bunch of stats...so when season 2 comes out what will be done with the season one stuff?
i guess i could see that as time progresss there would be a current stat of the latest league as well as an "overall rating". (and i'm guessing you are ahead of me here because you did some player ratings and such in FOG 1).
in FOG 1 there were overall player ratings based on W-L and which league (a-E) a player is in. so players might get an overall W/L as well as a player strength..which reflects the league they are competing in. do you forsee something similar, oh great Guru of ancient commander stats?

The player records will be updated each season so Season 2 results will be added to Season 1 results to create "grand totals". I can also show the Season 2 results separately for a while if players wish me to.

Anders is working on the first set of ratings now and they will be done exactly in the same way as they were in FOG1DL.
