Division D
Carthage draws with 37% losses on Dklenda's seleucid While Ragnaronetooths Carthage take 34% losses to hold the field.
faced with pike and lancers my medium infantry hugged the large forest , while the pike hugged the plains. A skirmisher battle developed driving the seleucid lights from their woods and harassing their cavalry forcing them deeper into the plains for mutual support. When the pike pushed up to the woods edge with their mediums, where by now my cav had also been driven, my mediums moved to the edges to hold and look to engage flanks from the woods while my heavies popped out of the woods on my left and some towns to do some more flanking. Pike lancers and elephants pressed back hard causing breaks of their own as the elite pike and another block where broken. Sadly the very reasonable caution we both showed meant night fell before we could reach a conclusion.

Division D: oscarius's Galatians win an incredibly close 51 to 64 against Kabill's Antigonids.
After a very rough start impaling themselves on the Hellene pikes (note to self: always check if 'in square' or not before charging the graphic isn't always clear) the warbands eventually managed to roll the weak left flank and pincer the pike formations. The superior chariots also did a splendid job of holding off Kabill's cavalry while his elephants never really managed to find their groove in the match (usually futilely chasing my cavalry or manoeuvring away from my javelins). Possibly the closest match I've played yet though, looking forward to our next one.
