If the E is "tank" then you can't. Because it is Tank/ART dual and not AT/ART dual. That is a problem I described several times...

Oh dident released that. But yes the E is a tank, and the F is a AT gun, so no upgrade as hoped Oh well the E is still a nice SP artillery gun here in spring of 1942

if you want a good Stug tank destroyer, use a towed AT gun, give it a halftrack (so it can attack weak inf and guns) use it often and it can gain XP.... "tank" StuG is on the other hand can train you decent artillery, or assault arty as tank gains P faster then arty. Well not elegant still but this is what we have

I found this information in the Osprey book specially on the early StuG... That confirmed both of our choices restoring the early Stug as AT. But I would still prefer Inf support as well from range 2.

Just dont bring it from blitzkrieg to panzerkrieg. Soon it becomes pure spg, but weaker than normal

What do you mean? If it stays Anti_tank it can be upgraded to much better Stug-IIIF/G or Stug-IV, Hetzer whatever. or much better SP-Arty like Hummel

The next upgrade step for the StuG III E is the StuH42 in the Mission Winterstorm. You cant make it a AT asset.
