2018 tournament players and format

Sengoku Jidai: Shadow of the Shogun is a turn-based tactical and strategic game set during this turbulent time; primarily focusing on the Japanese Warring States period and Japanese Invasion of Korea. Other armies from East Asia are also made available to simulate different conflicts across the region.

2018 tournament players and format

So here is the list of interested players. If you are no longer interested then please let me know.

Similarly, if you are not on the list and wish to be added, also let me know.

- LFDLM
- Pixel
- Kiwiwarlord
- Snugglebunnies
- TheGraymouser
- Sillygoy

I suggest that we have two teams, which I will create at random, and a series of four games per player. Points for winning will be totalled and we will see which team gains glory and which team commits seppuku...

As far as I can see, here is the list of players who have confirmed

- Thegraymouser
- Kiwiwarlord
- Snugglebunnies
- LFDLM
- W_michael

I have also contacted Gdod and Stegg88, who previously showed an interest.

I can make up the numbers if needed so that we have two teams.

I thought that we could play pairs of games so that each player gets 4 or 6 games. If we appoint a team captain then the captains can play each other, for double points and, of course, honour and glory.

Any preferences for period?

Hmm, no idea! I assume we will all be using Japanese armies? If so maybe the earlier (meaning 1500-1550’s period) as maybe more variety unit wise.

Any Sengoku era or Mandate of Heaven would be fine with me. Not interested in nomad cavalry armies or the Genpei/ Mongol Invasion lists. I actually rather like the later Sengoku lists, but it's all good with me.

Thanks. Well, I was thinking to stay with Sengoku, so we can have two rounds covering earlier and later periods then.

I have played lascar many times, will contact him.
There is your good self of course !! I assumed you would be playing.
Eight would be a good number for a teams event.

Thanks Brian.

Note to all players - I have moved the discussion to the tournaments section of the SJ forum and published the rules and format details.
