Re: Warship
You don't mean this, do you?

Well, in case yes... you might be able to get it up and running via dosbox. In addition, the website offers in-browser emulation as well... (download and/or emulation via the two yellow boxes/buttons in the upper center of the page)

Re: Warship
That is the game on the PC with EGA graphics. I preferred my Atari St version but, yes, that's it. I was looking for a remake or something similar. The IBM PC EGA version was ugly. While I'm not big on graphics being the driver for a game, the attempt on the St to make the ships look like something other than yogurt covered almonds, made the game more enjoyable. The game took into account the primary and secondary gun positions on the ship as they relate to the target. With the scenario editor and ship editor, you could create most any surface naval battle from WWI or WWII. It was quite a game. I guess there's no market to drive a similar game?

Re: Warship
I could get out my ST or my old 800 and try to get them to work, if that was what I wanted. These old games were developed for 4/8 bit computers. The game came on floppys that only held around 80k of data. They had to make a lot of disk access due to 48k RAM and 4/8 bit processing limitations of the computers they were made for. I was really asking, and hoping for a remake that took advantage of 64bit computers, with so much more ram and processing capabilities. Thanks for trying to help, but I think you misunderstood my question: "Does anyone know of a remake, or something similar?"

I see, no worries... I just like the above mentioned website as you can find a lot of old games there and you actually can get them up and running with dosbox... so I thought that's what you had meant!
