Weekly round-up
Division A is taking its time to get going but this week there were two wins for the defending champion ruskicanuk (Indo-Greeks). harveylh (Romans) remains top after another victory and he is pursued by Ulysisgrunt (Jewish) who now has three victories, which will be enough to keep him in the top division for next season. This is a big achievement for a player who often plays at the Division C level. In Division B the modest target of 24 points set by Hendricus is starting to look a bit more formidable. devoncop (Hannibal in Africa), who is in second place can now only reach 23 points and it looks like only SpeedyCM (Greeks) or XLegione (Galatians) have a reasonable chance of challenging for the automatic promotion place. deve (Ptolemaics) remains the clear leader in Division C but challenges may develop from SLancaster (Macedomians), Najanaja (Hannibal in Italy) or herm (Romans). sunnyboy remains in pole position in Division D with his sixth straight win, but there is a formidable pack of players pursuing him hoping for a slip up. It includes Geffalrus (Antigonids), General Shapur (Hannibal in Africa) who has now won 5 matches in a row, MorkinTheFree (Pyrrhics) and Karvon (Graeco-Bactrians).

Weekly round-up
harveylh (Jewish Revolt) is currently top of Division A with 3 wins from 4 starts and pantherboy (Bretons) has moved into second place with 2 wins, including one against last season's champion ruskicanuk (Ptolemaics). At the bottom Cunningcairn (Dacians) desperately needs to win his last match against NikiforosFokas (Scots-Irish) to stand any chance of avoiding relegation. Two wins for XLegione (Romano-British) this week moves him up into third pace and currently he looks the best bet to challenge youngr's (Jewish Revolt) supremacy at the top of the table. SpeedyCM (Sarmatians) could also yet make a challenge. Division C is a bit slow at the moment, but greekiraklis (Byzantines) has extended his lead at the top with another victory. jjaquemond (Kingom of Soissons) is in second place, 8 points behind but with 3 games in hand. There were big developments in Division D this week where the runaway leader sunnyboy (Germanic Horse Tribes) has lost his final two matches to post a good, but not insurmountable target of 29 points. Two players can still overhaul that total, MorkinTheFree (Ptolemaics) and lydianed (Kappadokians).

The game ran to the full number of turns leaving Zardoz02 (Lysimachid 320-281 BC) ahead of cromlechi (Seleucids 166-125 BC) at 44-50. More-or-less evenly matched pike armies with the Lysimachid pikes gaining terrain advantage on a hill but still facing difficulties countering the Seleucid cataphracts and elephants.

Weekly round-up
harveylh (Sassanids) moved to the top of Division A this week with his second victory, but his stay there is likely to be short-lived with ruskicanuk (Arab City), Triarii (Arab Bedouin), NikiforosFokas (Romano-British), pantherboy (Bretons) and dkalenda (Huns, Sabir) still all unbeaten. In Division B, a win for rexhurley (Moorish) over DzonVejn (Arab City) has seen these two swap places in the table just behind the leader, youngr (Romano-British). The player most likely to challenge for the top spot though is melm (Sassanids) who remains unbeaten. A storming run of 5 wins in the past week has seen MorkinTheFree (Romano-British) surge to the top of Division C. Geffalrus (Bretons) is his most dangerous pursuer with 2 wins and a draw from 3 starts.

Good game to my opponent who bravely charged my pike and elephant line like he had run out of fear and bubble gum. The first impact had me REALLY nervous when his foot were able to mob my reckless CinC and stab him to death. Fortunately the nearby units were Superior and passed two morale checks, stabilizing that part of the line. The double depth Samnite line was then ground down by a combination of angry elephants, grizzled pikes, and lucky dice rolls.

Wins for rbodleyscott (Cypriots) and stockwellpete (Carthaginians) closed the gap a bit on the current leader harveylh (Medians) in Division A. In Division B a sixth straight win for XLegione (Phoenicians) has seen him overtake Cunningcairn (Lydians) at the top of the table. Jagger2002 (Carthaginians) and SpeedyCM (Medians) have both started quite well with 2 wins from 3 starts but it is going to be a tall order to challenge for the top spot. Similarly in Division C, greekiraklis (Egyptians) is in a very commanding position with 6 straight wins. MikeMUC (Achaemenids) has started well with 2 wins from his first 2 matches..
