devoncop (Jewish Revolt) beat Morbio (Ptolemaic) 52% to 27%
A complicated broken desert map helped the zealots and helped by a wide flanking movement around the Ptolemaic left the Revolt won the day.
Many thanks to my opponent for a tough fight.

rexhurley (Numidian/Moorish) drew with devoncop (Jewish Revolt) 59/43. In a swirling complicated mass fight of medium infantry v lights the copper laid down the law and got the upper hand, however the djinni swirled and ebbed and kept at it. Unfortunately although he pushed all the way to my edge of the map the copper then disappeared into the woods never to emerge again while the Djinni screamed and whirled in frustration... with 2 turns to go we agreed a draw as I wasn't going into the woods to play and he wasn't coming out. Thanks for the laughs and entertainment Ian off to our next encounter in classic *-)

General Shapur - Carthaginian 550-411 BC defeats lydianed - Lydian 550-546 BC 62 – 53
Great thanks to Lydianed who played a great game. I'm not sure how I won, it always felt like I was on the back foot.

General Shapur - Kingdom of Soissons 461-486 AD challenges MikeMarchant - Roman 24 BC-196 AD password 'grain'
June 457 AD; General Shapur is dispatched in all haste from the 'rump state'to the Italian border. King Aegidius would like to receive double his grain shipment at 1/10th the usual price, after all, who's doing all the heavy lifting against the Visigoths these days? Grant our requests or taste our steel.

Banter in the results threads . . .
It is perfectly OK to have a bit of banter in the results threads after you have finished a match as long as it is accepted that I will regularly tidy up these threads a couple of times a week (usually after I have posted up the new league tables). So please do not be offended if such posts are eventually removed to "The Dustbin". Battle reports with one screenshot are exempt from removal. The reason for removing posts is so that other players can find the results they are looking for more easily and it makes my job a bit easier when I am compiling results and statistics,

This is a deliberate act of provocation. General Shapur knows full well we don't deal in tenths - we deal in twelfths. Steel tasting it is, then. Will there be cheese?General Shapur wrote: ↑Tue Jun 11, 2019 2:47 amDivision D

Division C
Sunnyboy (Ostrogoths 493-561 AD) beat GDod (Galatian 280 BC-63 AD) 49-19
The Galatian found themselves at a disadvantage with their warband impact foot opposed by the Gothic lancers on a mostly open plain. Despite this they utilised a low ridge and small wood on one flank of the map to split the advancing Goths and focused a ferocious assault on one flank. However, the greater mobility of the Teutonic horse was able to secure the victory.
Thanks for the game Gavin well played!

Group 3
oscarius (Pyrric) beats Morbio (Macedonian) 60 - 40.
The new cheaper Cretan archers proved a major thorn in my side decimating my left cavalry and shrugging off the fire of my own skirmishers but some energetic elephant attacks and heroic prolonged mercenary hoplite defence against multiple pikes on the right allowed my centre to make the most of terrain and seize the day. An enjoyable match that might lead me to incorporate a unit I had previously dismissed as overpriced..
